No one is asking for a commitment to prog, no one is saying for you to give your life into something, it is simply about enjoyment.
We did it together, because we wanted to, and much more likely we would do anything together, such as Ocean Fishing.

Your complaints came much from the approach of the player to the video game, and having a degree of friends in a MMO should at the very least be something.
I get it that people may play most of the time solo, but I bet you could even get in this Forum 8 people in a snap of the fingers to play hard content together and build friendships. If it is for the sake of isolationism only, it is kinda odd that people even play an MMO, tbqh. They would find more engaging designs to their needs in individual single-player games.

And you are not wrong, they gave plenty for the combat because in Endwalker people complained a lot that THERE WAS NO COMBAT. There was nothing to do in Endwalker that was slightly engaging, you could pass weeks without ever pressing button 1 on your keyboard with the contents they offered, and that was awful. So, give something for those people to be able to tackle for a while, while in the next patches, they are left to starve a tad as the content that will follow is casual.

Although, tbh. I would argue the new Alliance Raid is casual. The new "Savage" Alliance Raid with Cloud of Darkness, will be Midcore. And the Ultimate High-End.
Hells, Alliance Raid; Society Quests; MSQ; all of this is Casual content. Even now you guys are getting more than the rest that got one fight that they will be engaging in for a couple of weeks. The fact you need to engage in combat does not make a content midcore.
