    Thing for me is....they bring out mount after mount after mount...yet you are barely in the open world to use those mounts, except the rare instances of Fate farming or hunting trains. Bozja, Eureka and Stuff is where we could "show" off our achievments. Since endwalker its just...sitting alone on a island and tending daily to your animals and farms...sitting in cities and waiting for Dungeon/raidqueues to pop. There is no engaging open world play. i know people here hate being compared to wow, so am i and i wish we had something alike. Last time i played wow (Battle for azeroth) you were basically doing everything in the open world. Flying to dungeon, flying to world quests and world bosses that spawn regulary, not like "our" world bosses that can spawn in from 2 hours to..i dont know..next week if the stars align well, for some neat rewards like Equip, reputation, arbitrary stuff to raise your playerpower. Yes...if you would do mythic raids it basically was important you did all of that, but on a casual level it was more relaxed and fun. The way i see it...FF will never move from its boring formula.

    If they’re going to trickle feed us story while largely supporting hardcore content, I’m just gonna unsub until next expansion. Metapho: Rephantazio looks much more interesting atm.

    I'm confused how the "hardcore" base gets catered to in this game.

    Hardcore gets a savage raid every 9 months and an ultimate once a year if they're lucky.

    Casual content gets released every 4.5 months with each patch. A new dungeon, new trial, normal raid or alliance raid.

    Hardcore content only "lasts longer" because of the time it takes to prog. Casual content doesn't last nearly as long because its brain-dead content.

    Hardcore gets a "chaotic" alliance raid that consists of one boss between savage patches and suddenly this game is hardcore focused.

    The assumption that casual content should be braindead or quickly finished is the reason people are making this thread.

    I would love to have more difficult casual content, but a vast majority of the playerbase still can't even play their job at level 100. Tanks not mitigating, healers still spamming cure 1 and dps who can't even press their basic combo 1-2-3.

    Lets be real, there is unreal and extreme trials but that would require some effort on their part. Most people in this thread want more braindead casual content, not difficulty.

    That's the main issue with players in MMORPG and has been for years : it seems the only feedback they can provide is whether the content is too easy or too hard, without voicing any opinion in order to determine what is actually fun. But a game isn't fun merely if it is easy/hard, it is fun because it is well designed. The difficulty is only the factor that determines the implication required to clear the content. Casual content could be a meaningful easy and fun content that has replay value (and not only because of a reward at the end).

    I agree with this completely. Which is why I think its absolutely moronic that they wait until halfway through the expansion to release the field operations and relic weapon grind. Deep Dungeons could have been great too, but all they do is rehash the same basic system and are seemingly incapable of improving it. I wanted to like variant dungeons, but after the third or fourth time I'd start falling asleep, when it had the potential to be interesting, if they used WoW's mystic system or added different conditions each week... something, anything.

    You're pretending that casual content could never be long lasting when this game has previously had long lasting casual content, like bozja, eureka and relic quests.
