They don't give a hoot about squadrons, unfortunately.I think my biggest "Why" of the LL was Duty Support for Halatali when you could just lower the company level requirement on squadrons as they also cover Halatali(and a lot of older optional dungeons) already. This just seems like a waste of development time to me when squadrons could have just been adjusted to be unlocked earlier.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
I'm a pretty casual player as far as combat content, I don't do savage raids except when they're old and I'll never do an Ultimate, but I love Alliance Raids and I really love it when they devolve into chaos so I'm looking forward to it lol
Coming from a raider point of view, first off the 24 savage raid. I hope there decent reward like alternative of savage books and not a stupid mount only, because it will make this content crap. If its altenative for raid gear inside savage then good. Next 24 normal raid, tbh it samey samey I do not expect this content make casual leaning on extremes, so its fine. next extreme is samey only good for peeps who do not want to touch savage so its ok. beast tribes, seem the samey. PVP, idk what to expect tbh I rather play a real pvp games than this one. Ultimate, Nice lets hope they tested with all jobs and comp inside this content, because if jobs excluding then the balance is dogwater and we are living TOP 2.0 baby. In conclusion, they need Eureka or Bozja content badly. That would ease the casual and midcore with a grind and I like a chill grind content to sink my teeths in it.

The chaotic alliance raid announcement was a massive disappointment. All they had to do was make an extreme version of Echoes of Vana'diel. A full raid with multiple bosses would have been incredible.

We have been asking for an extreme version of the 24 mans since the 24 mans and extremes were a thing, which would be around patch 2.1x. If they haven't given them to us by now I doubt they ever will and are just expecting for us to be happy with what they are willing to give usm which is just another ex trial with extra ppl.
I liked POTD content but when the 3rd iteration was added, Eureka? No one was running it. Assuming it died out quickly after launch.
Orthos had some issues, namely very HP-spongy enemies in early floors that made running it a bit more exhausting. Also, it did not give as good EXP as comparable alternatives did, so it also died out as an alternative to leveling. And it barely innovated, which caused it to feel stale much quicker. Plus, disconnection issues are the bane of solo runs.
Its a shame cause the base idea is amazing and could be expanded upon for incredible replayability. A more in depth rogue lite experience, where each run unlocks more potential for the next runs, for example.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
RIP Viper 28/06/2024 - 30/07/2024. It was a fun month.
That make sense, thanks for the clarification. I think I ran it twice or thrice and it was always a significant long queue for it.Orthos had some issues, namely very HP-spongy enemies in early floors that made running it a bit more exhausting. Any MMO that caters to endgame too much (Wildstar) or pvp (Any Korean MMO cashgrab pay to win) is doomed to dwindle.
Casual / middle of the pack is your most numerous playerbase.
And this dumb take of "just take a break". Hot take for this community. I KNOW, but MMOs are meant to be played and engaged with. You pay a sub to do so. If Square enix want this game to be a singleplayer lonely island game. Just remove sub and add sub for extra perks / housing.
I really hope they cook a bit more on the patch content. Id rather they future proof the game than wait for players to leave and THEN fix it.
That's the paradox of mordern MMORPGs.I saw the actual PLL and I wondered why they only introduced more extreme/savage like content to do. The majority of the playerbase is casual, isn't it?
How can they forget to deliver casual content to do? Did I miss something? What do you think about this?
And are you also very unsatisfied that they had no new information regarding to the graphics update?
If you had to rate the current PPL from 1(worst) to 10(best), what would it be?
I make this thread that people can talk about the newest stuff.
Current MMORPGs are succesful by catering to the more casual playerbase, yet a decent amount of development effort are being put in designing content only a small percentage of the playerbase get to see (as proven by the content clear rate accross the board).
