funny how im reading this right after a CC run where i popped phalanx yet died to a snapshot from a SMN's LB - good times.
i think salt and darkness needs a stun in addition to the bind. the whole salted earth and salt and darkness is just too underwhelming. i agree on the radius too. and it should give the DRK stronger regen and also fill their HP to full on use. and resets plunge and quietus. please SE .. do something.- Buff DRK in Frontline it is way too weak, bigger pull yalm.
- Add more ticking dots to SCH
- Buff Astrologian Macrocosmos for more DPS
- Adding 1 LB per class
- Paladin to get more mit
- add another 1 tap mechanic to Samurai so they have more
- make animation lock for ninja LB longer
- completely remove guard from every class
What do you expect ?
No mention of nerfing DRK in FL, but they did go out of their way to mention that they're gutting MCH which was one of the few jobs capable of at least fighting back against DRK squads

Yeah I was bummed out by this as well. But at least wrt PCT I think it doesn't necessarily need new skills to be saved. Some tweaks to the existing gameplay (like adding swift cast effects to certain skills) could already greatly improve the job.
Yeah, because one of the best ways of dealing with DRK squads is hitting their backline. This is the only real way to actually deal with DRK stacks. Momentarily stunning/MoNing the DRK isn't going to work. Knocking down their BH5 AST to BH2 will make a big difference though.
A BH4+ MCH can one tap AA combo any healer/ranged (besides RDM and DNC). Now, they will be able to reaction Guard the LB so... nevermind? Might still be doable with analyze AA stun but not looking great. Huge, huge MCH nerf. Also a huge SMN nerf (as if the job wasn't already mediocre enough). Big nerf for some other jobs too. Square doesn't "mention nerfs" but this might as well been an admission of nerfs for any job reliant on snapshots. Who knows, maybe these jobs will receive total kit reworks, but I kind of doubt it.
To clarify, this isn't just about their performance against DRK stacks. MCH will be overall much worse if their LB is unreliable against anyone with Guard up.

I'd argue that knocking down a BH5 AST down is valuable, but not a huge boon either. They still can pop celestial river (the true threat) just fine and this isn't affected by it. Don't get me wrong, knocking down any BH5 AoE job, which are probably the players actually benefitting from the DRK/premade the most since they're BH5, is good. I do that with a lot of jobs as a solo player, and MCH is good to delete squishies with BH5 from afar, but it requires relatively high BH to even remotely perform (BH3 only overcomes the innate DR resist on ranged targets...). But this is never going to wreck their combo or the machine. This is just removing a cog among potentially many cogs. Even the clueless players will attack and blast everything that's sucked by the DRK and contribute in their own way. People put way too much value on the contributors instead of the facilitators (DRK, and guard removal jobs), who are the actual corner stones of the threat.
It is a big MCH nerf either way, and way, way more in CC than it could ever be in FL. I'm not looking forward to it.
