    Having Major Issues in Origenics

No, I ain't best best player by a ways, but I usually can get through the combat stuff on the MSQ. I have been using the Duty Support and am generally very happy with it.

Comes the first boss in Origenics. Pretty much all first bosses I get through in one shot. However I am having major issues with this one. My problem is that I run to avoid his slam, I am in a clear area with no AoE circles and boom, I lose almost half my health, I mean I am standing right NEXT to Graha and he doesn't take ANY damage. I mean, I was in the clear for a good long second, maybe a bit more. Even if I am full health, very frequently I get one shot. I've only made it to the second phase once or twice... at one point I stayed with about 5% health for an extended period of time.

This is exceedingly frustrating. I have NEVER had such troubles. Oh, 100/670 for my toon.

    Advice please!

It could be a latency issue if you appear to be in the clear areas on your end.

In case you're not aware (or for those reading who aren't), whether or not you get hit is dependent on where you are when the circles disappear as opposed to when the boss animation starts. You want to be moving as soon as they appear rather than try to cheese an extra split second of damage.

What I do is start moving back to the middle as soon as the previous set of circles disappear (it will look like I'm moving back into the damage as the boss animates but I'm safe). If they then reappear on the side I'm on I'm already close to the new clear area. If they appear on the far side, I'm usually not quite to the middle yet so I can get back to the clear area easily. I also make certain to get fully clear of the circles rather than stop by one. Better to lose a bit of DPS than to get hit by them.

In this case you want to be moving before the circles appear because they're just a last-second indicator of whether you got out of the way or not.

You need to watch the boss itself and run to the side of the arena away from its raised tentacle.

As soon as it slams and the orange markers appear and disappear, you need to move back into the middle, ready to respond to the next attack.

As far as the mechanic, you can't wait for the circles to appear before you move or you'll likely be too late, causing the damage to snapshot. Watch for the boss to raise its arm and move to the opposite side immediately. That's the indicator that he will slam the slime down on that side.

If you're doing the mechanic properly and still getting hit, then you may be suffering some latency.

I don't think OP is doing the mechanic correctly and I base this entirely on the "Thaumaturge Lv 100" next to his character. Dude hasn't even figured out to equip his job stone for the last 70 levels.

OP has a jobstone- his Lodestone profile shows a BLM. I think this is easier to show than to tell. Watch the tank in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zk6YoLshu-0. You have to be moving as soon as the boss raises his arm. He won't always swap sides though: So once you get to the "safe" side be repositioning as soon as you can in center of the arena to see which side you will head to next. You can't always follow NPCs and be safe because they do things like teleport at the last second (too late for you) or like Wuk, stand in AoE and take no damage.
Since you've done the other content with not many issues I agree this is likely a bit of latency. But if you pre-position accurately should still be doable. Like when I play on OCE servers I have to adjust a biit. And if you need to take a few health pots till you figure it out.

I know you mentioned using the Trusts to do stuff, but consider just going with a party. I ran with a party as healer the first time through , and I did derp step into a mechanic here and there but there was no toxicity. Everyone was pretty cool really.

The forum job profiles aren't automated – it can display your current level in a class or job but doesn't change when you change job. By default it's your starting class and if you want it to say something different, you have to go into your settings and pick which classes or jobs you want displayed.

Nothing I can find in Settings that says to display my job... Thamaturge is not a job as far as I know. No idea how to fix that, maybe look for a website forum...

I AM pretty clear that I am outside the markers when I can take major damage (most of the time) and I still take damage. Latency should not be an issue, I have a gig down Internet connection. Pretty sure I start moving with the hand, not the markers. Of course, the markers come up pretty quickly... BUT relocating to the center as soon as the last one goes off IS very much a good suggestion that will hopefully get me by this guy. I DO recall it seemed the forst two were side to side, but the third one stayed put (I never mssed that one).

The one time I somehow got to the second phase, I went running around with about 5-10% health for quite a long while... I looked to see if the healer had bought it.

Wish me luck (and never go by 75 in age)!

Another thing to consider is this: for 99% of mechanics, it's safe to move INTO the mechanic as soon as the cast bar finishes. Just like how you can't go based on the animation for when it's dangerous, you also can't judge when it's safe based on that animation. The cast bar is the indicator for almost everything. Very few mechanics are lasting, like the 2nd boss in Keeper of the Lake doing his conal fire attack.
