How to change Security token?

Hi, I have an old physical key fob Security Token that I use.
I have a similar one for 'another game' and the battery for that has died so having to get that sorted out

So I want to switch to a mobile App one for FF14 before its battery dies too, locking me out.
How do I do this without accidently loosing access to FF14 or the support forums.
The Square Enix page mentions Google and Microsoft apps a lot of info about dead apps or something so am confused as the what app is needed and what steps are needed to switch from the old physical authenticator

you need to log into your SE account (not ffxiv) here: https://secure.square-enix.com. once logged in under "services and options" you should see "one-time password". if you not written down the emergency password at this point, do that now just to be safe. but click on the type of key in use currently and on the next screen you should see the button for removing the key from your account. the emergency key is good to have in a safe spot in case the physical key, if used, dies or is lost but also for the software token in case you lose access to that as well.
