Genuinely curious what feedback, if any, prompted these changes. Were there really that many people complaining about needing to hit their gap closer attack during a burst window? I can maaaybe see Gunbreaker, but I've never had an issue weaving them on any of my mains. If for whatever reason they don't want the players using their gap closer during burst, then make it mathematically not worth it (have to spend a resource that could be used for something better for example, such as what Samurai has) or have it not be available to use unless you're X meters away from the enemy, etc.

But no, instead they take away ALL damage and replace it with the most boring animations imaginable, which took more effort than just adjusting the timing or numbers. WHY??
