Hard disagree. Busy is what I liked about AST. Making the cards GCD would make it even more boring and sluggish.

I prefer the cards being an OGCD with a short cooldown so I have something to manage between endless GCDs. The GCD in this game is LONG, making something like cards into GCDs would make the job even slower. The sluggishness was why I preferred Ast to White Mage, before they decided to gut it in Dawntrail.
