For the love of, add a way to disable the looping cutsceene.

I don't close the game because i don't want to type in the password every single time. And usually a "disconnect" error message would appear with a black background before going to the main menu...

Now randomly this error does not appear which causes the jolly cutsceene to start blasting sounds every 30 second.

That only happens if you tab out while leaving it on the main menu splash page. Just click once to go to the login screen instead, where you see your character but are not entering the game yet, and you can stay tabbed out of that indefinitely without the trailer ever autoplaying.

pretty sure opening the system settings menu would keep it from going into the cinematic as well

My suggestion would be to go to System Configuration and adjust your sound settings. You can disable "Play sounds when window is not active" completely or by sound type (BGM is probably the gremlin you want to avoid).

this is either absolute genius or absolute madlad, there is no in between :'D
but for real, I cannot fathom letting a game run in the background all the time on a computer. May as well keep the password on a textfile, as unsecure as that is.

If only there was a client that let you store the password and 2FA (Not that I'd store 2FA in it because it's too insecure, but options are nice). Alas, nothing like that officially exists. c'est la vie
