Even if its not giving gear/battle advantage (Pay to Win) over other player, F2P will still give advantage, which then the paying player could use to annoy the free player
Because people jerk like that

There's a big difference with a vanity item shop to give me a Moogle hat or a super firework, and limiting every players hairstyles without spending more money.Seriously? Aren't $10-16 (depending on where you live) a month enough to keep me safe from this crap?
The whole POINT of P2P is to heave a steady income from players which in return can get and do everything they want without having to pay EXTRA money.
If I get 3 out of 30 hairstyles and have to pay for the other 27 while paying $15 a month I'd sure as hell leave and find myself another "free" to play game where I would have to put up with the same crap but without paying a monthly fee >_>°
Please would people stop exploding peoples arguments to insane proportions and mocking the results.
How would you keep Power Leveling if you abolish Leveling?
I would probably not sink my time into a F2P game for very long.
I'll just say that if FFXIV were to go F2P it wouldn't get a dime out of me let alone my time. Never really enjoyed a F2P game.
I'm in favor of SE making lots of money so they can continue to employ a large development team for the game.
I'd still rather P2P than F2P. I think however, that making some items like the Chocobo Mask which have no real use except to be awesome could be real money purchasable. This would probably bring in a bunch of extra cash flow without forcing anyone to spend money to upgrade their stats or access content.

Make it happen.
I agree! I'm also in favor of SE bringing in lots of money so they can make good games by having large development teams. For instance, SE has been bringing in but loads of money for awhile now with their FF, DQ, KH, Deus Ex and other franchises and we can see from their recent titles FF13, FF13-2, FF14, etc that:I'm in favor of SE making lots of money so they can continue to employ a large development team for the game.

SE+lots of money = Great Quality games
...Oh wait.
Whiteknighting will not give SE any incentive to create better games.
F2P games are a misnomer, as unless you never want to have any real fun, they are FAR from free and end up costing more than P2P games. Sure, its TECHNICALLY free to play by the definition of the word, but that doesn't really make the game free.
