Stop Hitting the OK Release Button

Ok, so. Been in a dungeon where we wiped when we could have recovered...but DPS released themselves (Hit the long OK button), where they couldn't rejoin the fight. We had 2 RDM (I was one of them). The other RDM died and immediately just released...healer and myself could have raised you, but you chose to release yourself.

To me, the only time you should ever use the OK release would be when the healer is dead, and there is no other option to be rezzed.

Give us a chance to rez you. Other RDM said it was a force of habit, which OK, I guess? But if it's going to be a wipe, just stay dead for the moment and run back with everyone else if that's what happens.

Not a super big deal, but pay attention to your group makeup, and resist the long OK button to release.

Don't know if it is worth a thread but Sure lets goo xD I can only think of a habit out of wow where things are slightly diffrent like you can release and just run Quick enough to the trash cauz battle rez is rare, but in raid corect me if im wrong you cant release there untill all die. For 14 its better if this is a dungeon and Boss is close to over to release and not take the debuff otherwise OP is completly right relax with the release Button

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's just new players (from WoW even as you mention, where releasing just works).

Just wanted to PSA that you should be cognizant of releasing, because you can't just run back, and give heals and appropriate DPS a chance to bring you back into the fight.

I don't normally see people do this, personally. But telling it to people on the forums who have usually played for years and know things like this probably won't change anything. It will be sprouts and returners and casual players doing this sort of thing.

I don't know I think there is a higher % of not having a dps that can res than having one in your average DF party. They also probably assumed a wipe was going to happen as a lot of parties at least for me have quickly gone sideways soon after a person dies recently. Especially on the 2nd boss of the lv93 dungeon due to size of safe zones combined with how big individual aoe and how spread apart said safe zones are. That and in the 2nd half of the last boss of the lv95 can trip people up at times. Can people doing this be annoying as a dps with a res ot a healer? Definitely. I might only make mention of it if it's a continuous thing happening in a run. There are some who don't like to have the weaknesses status for any reason and no matter how often you tell them I could have raised you will matter. Though that tends to be a rare thing.

That's correct, yes. In, WoW, you can't release from boss fights until the whole raid is dead. All run back together.

(Or, decently often, you have a Night Elf healer Shadowmeld to exit combat at the last moment or a Resto Druid self-rez and then they just mass-rez to skip the run back.)

I do this when I want to afk or when it's a bad timing (dying pre burst for example)

but I dont know why you would be pissed off about a new player who release instead of waiting for rez

I only respawn when I've been on the floor for a LONG time and the rez is very clearly not coming. There are quite a few people who can rez and just...choose not to, for some reason unknown to me.
