    Serious gamers in united states and south america use VPNs now. If I were square enix I'd look for a way to relocate those servers to texas though, the routing of united state's network infrstructure to califonia is hurrenduous. Always damn california ruining everything for the entire country haha.

    Texas has higher energy costs and a less reliable power grid.

    No idea why anyone would put data centers there.

    Guild Wars 2's servers were in dallas texas since 2012 until 2018. They're now in virginia though which makes the most sense traffic wise since that side of the country is where most of the activity happens; west coast wouldn't have much trouble getting connected there.

    Agree. I use Expressvpn which isn't marketed to games but it's rated as one of the best ones without the "for games" tag attached to it.
