Savages drop question M3S specifically

So on Monday my savage team finally managed to get a kill on Brute Bomber we did however have one person who had cleared it and the notification said 7/8 eligible for loot.

When we killed him only 1 item was dropped which was coffer for the chest pieces. Is this normal loot drop behavior I thought we would be eligible for 2 as 5-7 eligible reduces it by only 2

If 5-7/8 are eligible it means you will be rewared with 1 chest. if its less than 5, you will get no chest, only the token.

There are only 1 chest in the new savages. All 4 pieces of loot drop from that 1 chest. The wording is wrong with the new changes. The understanding is that 5-7 cuts the loot count in half with the already reduced to one chest aka instead of 4 items it should be 2, but we only got 1 item which was the Chest Piece. I'm wondering if this is normal or a bug for anyone that may have also gone into M3S with someone who cleared it for the week.

Yes I thought you were refering to the Items. sorry my bad. I checked the patchnotes and they only say if 1-4 players already have their weekly clear it will be "less Items". Sorry, maybe someone who has already cleared under these conditions too can help you out here

In the old system, the other stuff would be in the chest you lose.

By that logic 1 chest would contain 1 item while the other contain the other three... that wouldn't make any sense either...

Because 1 chest is the primary loot and the other holds the remainder. It's been like this since coil actually.
