Game crashes after a few minutes

Hi, I’ve been playing without problem for a month on linux (steam + proton 9.0).
A couple days ago the game downloaded about 3.2Go before launching (recently purchased dawntrail ? bought it on saturday) and since then it’s always crashing (Steam forced to quit).

Sometimes I can play up to 5 minutes, sometimes it crashes directly in the menu, or on the loading screen. Usually the music continues to play but that’s all.

There have been two nvidia driver updates on linux recently as well, so that could be another trail.

I tried to lower the video setting to minimum (I play on a laptop) but it still crashes.

Do the usual troubleshooting things, like uninstalling the game and deleting the folder it was installed to (because steam doesn't remove everything for some reason) then installing it again.

Also since you're on GNU/Linux, make sure to look through all the settings on any compatibility software you may be using, like that launcher (that I heard) is required to play on the Steam Deck.

That last step should not be required, I can confirm that no special launcher is required to play the Steam version on a Linux PC using Proton 9.0
