but getting the token might get you in trouble, me and my friend bought the collectors edition and he used the token, i didnt wanted because im bad remembering stuff, so i was afraid to loose it and not being able to log in, he did use that token and he lost it, he tried to reactivate his account and wasnt able because of the good help center service SE have, everyone that has called there must know what i mean, so he had to start over with my friend pass, so in a few words dont use that token, only if they improve their service that in my experience since FF XI wont happen. Its not that hard reactivating you password everytime you change IP adress, just use 2 passwords, that way you wont have trouble

So put your security token on your keys. Being careless isn't really SE's fault. My old bank got merged with Chase and my CC history isn't in their system (I even went to the bank and had them look it up on their system) from when I played FFXI. When I tried to get my char back for the hermes' boots I was unable to get it b/c I didn't have my FFXI CD key or the FULL CC number. My Bills only had the last 4 digits. Also not SE's fault). If you can't log in, SE asks for your CC info and the CD key you registered with etc. I'm assuming your friend lost that info too. I had the same thought, "what if I lose my token?" Only option now is to make sure its in the same place everyday. I played ffxi on ps2 so I never had a fear of getting hacked. This is my first time playing an mmo on pc so my fear of getting hacked is why I use a token. You clearly admit that you're careless though and don't mind changing PWs. My college makes us change our PWs every 60 days and its annoying!!

Get a token, I don't understand why people are telling the OP to just suck it up and change PWs when you clearly came here to voice your dislike for it.
