Happens to me too, It's irritating but at the same time I'm glad they have it just in case. Security tokens are only for people who don't have much knowledge of computers. It's practically impossible to get hacked unless you are naive enough to download a trojan or keyloger onto your computer. Don't waste your money on a token unless you don't know better about such things.

The IP checker is just a nice feature to have in case someone you've burned a bridge with who used to live with you some how managed to get your password, and now that shes not living with you anymore and you've broke up with her she logs on your account and deletes your main...

That is silly...and careless. Multi-factor authentication is a proven method of security. Its just the opposite - people who DO know alot about computers, insist on at least two-factor auth to protect their accounts and data. Maybe you haven't been reading the computer news at all recently but most of all the major 'hacks' have been compromises of millions of companies user/pass data. Multi-factor auth would render that data useless.

Don't take it from me, Steve Gibson has plenty to say on the subject: http://twit.tv/sn90

I cannot stress enough how wrong this statement is. The idea of a security "token" is that it adds a new layer of security to your account. Passwords are easy to guess, a generated token is nearly impossible to guess because it changes every thirty or so seconds. In all honesty, people who want a secure account SHOULD have a token. On the net today, only having a password doesn't cut it.

Please be careful when you post statements like that. Someone might read what you posted and honestly believe it.

As for the OP's situation, I would seriously recommend a security token as others have suggested. Not only will it solve your differing IP problems, but it will also protect you from dangers in your ever changing place of play. It may seem extreme, but if you're using a public network, especially Wifi, who knows who is listening.

Accidentally clicking on wrong links, phishing, bad ads, poor security on site, etc.

Lots of ways to get hacked. Many more than what you or I listed, in fact.

The angels dance like feathers float, they're here to see and to be seen,
The clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings,
Once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave
But I'm still waiting, yeah, and I'm still waiting

I've only ever had my account hacked once, and it happened in 2000. It was a Diablo II account, and I downloaded something that turned out to be a Trojan from what was in retrospect a very obvious trap.
That's ironic, because if you'd had a security token for Diablo II (if they existed back then) they probably wouldn't have been able to get into your account.
