Even if it's real "DDoS" the fact this is a problem for 4 months means your probably right, they are not fixing the problem and just let anyone DDoS without any defense since they are all doing NFT.

It's incredibly bad server hardware.
One time the servers got shut down because there were too many Market Board requests at once.
Sometimes the problem's even just caused by the weather. Actually I think all of these are either bad weather or as you've said stealth maintenances because in every other MMO i've played, the players were all able to figure out what was causing the DDOS as it was occuring.

It's so so obvious that it's stealth maintenance because they all happen when Japan wakes up at 8 or 9 JST. It never happens when Japan is asleep.

They've been pretty transparent when it was a server error on their end -- no matter how embarrassing lol (see above post). I don't have any reason to believe they're being dishonest about this, along with the understanding that MMOs tend to be easy targets, especially Japanese ones, which tend to have famously shitty defenses. I don't think they're above criticism for that -- they really need to get tf on top of this issue -- but I don't think they're lying. I think they're negligent lol.
