I prefer the final fantasy way, what you have accomplished is how you will look like, if you get a good gear you will be able to show it, we have yukatas, christmas gear and several pieces that looks good, you can buy those and have your vanity way, once you get in a party you'll have to change to your crappy or bad ass gear...i dont wanna see a guy having a lvl 1 robe looking like darklight one, that takes away the achievement, you wanna look bad ass? well get bad ass gear then

Yo. You're missing the point. The point is that you don't look badass if you equip the badass gear in the game. The badass-looking gear in the game sucks! See pic of Dragoon in OP.

Obtain badass-looking gear. Throw into storage because it sucks.
Enjoyment -1.
Equip goodass looking gear. Look like a gay pirate.
