The Pantheon

What do people think about having a great Pantheon to the gods in the centre of a great city in 2.0?

The ancient civilizations of Babylon, Greece and Rome had these huge temples dedicated to the gods. Why not Eorzea?

Huge circular buildings with a portico of large granite Corinthian columns at the front, their wide open interiors could host any number of statues to the gods Ifrit, Diabolos, Shiva, Garuda, Bahamut...

(maybe even hold the burial chambers of ancient races of Galka, Mithra, and Elvaan beings from long ago).

Make it a quest hub, a meeting place, a secular or religious seat of power or just a place to wander about it in awe, I think it would be a wonderful homage to the series.

Perhaps we could even have statue of the great Phoenix Yoshida in the centre, rising to meet the sun's rays each morning, whilst a Colossus of the ancient Giant Tanaka stands to the rear, looking on proudly?

Not sure if trying to be serious, or just funny...

Each city already has a patron deity.
Ul'dah has two temples to Nald'thal and there are shrines outside the city.
Gridania has the altar to Nophica below the Skyserpent's egg on the way to the Stillglade Fane.
Across La Noscea, there are places named for the life of Lymlaen, Limsa's patron deity.
Ishgard honours Halone.
Sharlayan and Ala Mhigo have their own deities which I cannot remember off the top of my head.
The six are of the Pantheon of the Twelve.

EXPECT them to be plot-centric in the future.
I hold a personal theory that the primals are their manifestation.

And no self-respecting director should erect a statue of himself in his game.

Not sure if trying to be serious, or just funny...

Neither really, it's Friday at work and I'm bored.

Obviously taking the piss a bit with the Directors, but I was being fairly speculative about the primals.

There's always one place, a museum, Colesseum or even a Dungeon for example, that could hold images of all the 'gods'. I'm not talking about Halone or Nald'thal etc, I'm talking FF staples like Carbuncle and Titan in some form.

Personally I think it'd be a cool homage if done correctly, with class.

It would be cool to have a great temple devoted to all the gods. A NPC could stand nearby who was a fanatic about just one of them. The Twelve would have to be there, but there should also be shrines for all the old "primals" out of the whole FF series (Shiva, etc).
It is true that there are already altars or shrines throughout Eorzea. However it would be interesting if there was one great temple full of a bunch of strange hermits that spew strange rituals and legends from the past and future. It could be the center of weird events. I would expect the "monks" to be full of cool wisdom but also very obtuse the way the wandering prophets spew odd stories and predictions.
Maybe recieve quests from the gods here?
