Dawntrail difficulty

I an my wife been playing FFXIV for ten years and never had any problems progressing even though we are casual gamers. But Dawntrail we both have been having difficulty in progressing through MSQ, I am aware that Yoshida said that gamers enjoy the difficulty but that generalism just isn't true with casual gamers. Therefore we can't proceed through the MSQ and if it is true for us two then it would be true for others. Please fix this we both tried many times and can't progress so something is truely wrong, stands to reason this would become a stumbling block for many and would make FFXIV for hardcore gamers only subscriptions will suffer, as for me and bd my wife continuing to be subscibers will be depenant on any fix to this.

This feedback isnt helpful, and probly cant be acted on. "Expansion is too hard please fix" doesnt really mean anything. You need to be specific. Cite examples if you have them. What exactly is too hard? Do the new crafter recipes require too much progress to complete? Is Erenville too attractive with the new graphics and you cant focus? Does the tank AI in the duty support system take too long to gather agro in the 3rd dungeon? Does an enemy in fight _____ have too many hp? Is the DPS to APM ratio too low on the _____ class?

If you have actual feedback you can provide with enough details for it to be looked into, feel free to provide it. Maybe the devs can then look into something.

what exactly is too difficult? You’re not even saying on what you are struggling with.

Is the obstacle for your and your wife the solo duty during Taking a Stand? Many others are expressing frustration with that one but found doing it on Easy instead of Very Easy allowed them to complete it.

If it is something else that is causing problem, please provide that information.

One thing I've pointed out several times in the General Discussion forum is that once game developers state they are fine with the way something is working, the only way they will change their minds is if enough players quit in response. You are right that there are a lot of players unhappy because they're having trouble with the current difficulty but the total number may not be large enough to change the developer's minds. SE seems to be focused on drawing in a younger audience to the game and the increased difficulty is apparently part of that effort.

Do what is in the best interests of you and your wife. There are a lot of other games out there to play and enjoy together if this one no longer gives the experience you're looking for.
