These Net Issues are Unacceptable

For the last few weeks, whenever I find a day I can fit in a few hours of FF time for ques and crafting quests (which I am so behind on), it's a day there's a DDOS or I DC 3 times in 20 minutes. Square is staying afloat because of FFXIV and if they cannot afford to put the goddamn money into their servers, I might just unsub because it is incredibly frustrating.

Probably another garbage potato NTT node. Usually a VPN fixes the issue.

The connection problems also like to line up with when I'm most available to play. Hurts to say, but if they don't resolve it to the point where it stops happening semi-regularly, this would be enough to push me back to World of Warcraft. At least I could actually reliably play that game.

People were unable to sub using Visa for MONTHS before they finally fixed it. Don't get your hopes up for a swift solution.

Going to agree that VPNs can fix it. I used a free one when it affected me and it even cut my ping down significantly from what it is in normal times.

Nice, so if VPNs do work, then will SE refund me the price they cost, because playing that game is starting to get incredibly expensive (and i'm not even talking about mandatory additional retainers)...

I mean, if a vpn works, that means it's not on SE's side.

There's a long-standing known issue between NTT and ATT networks being near worthless. A VPN could definitely help with that issue to bypass whatever hot mess they have going on between them.

But don't use this as a solution to DDoS attacks, as a VPN won't save you from this.
