BUT

If you were to roleplay something in the final fantasy world.
What would you roleplay?

My first idea was "The Circle"

An in game, game show.
Second is a quiz show.

The adventure that they go on as a party.

But through actually roleplaying I quickly discovered that wasn't going to happen. People have real life schedules to work around and can't "journey everywhere as a party" for a year with you. The scheduling can be very difficult just with one person nevermind a whole party of people.

I suppose the other things are just chocobo racing (if players weren't separated across lots of different tiers leaving you to race NPCs) and the card games.

Honestly, as someone who plays Pen&Paper and TTRPG stuff - I do love any adventurer group kinda stories, where a band of people work together to achieve something good for all. Does not have to be a world ending kinda story, just interesting adventures. So yeah, it would pretty much be that.

There is social RP and adventure RP.
Social RP is usually in RP venues, and adventure RPs are usually RP events with combat. Either can be done either with random other RPers or with your FC, if you are in an RP-focused FC.
Curently, the FC I'm in is doing a campaign with 2 events per week. We have the choice to either do our own little events, if one wishes to contribute to the campaign.
On EU the RP community is usually organized over discord, with an RPÜ venue roulette 5 days a week on Chaos (EU), or 7 days with the German-speaking community on Light. These are usually venues.
Characters are usually conforming to the lore or the world bending lore a bit here and there.
If the RP tag is on, person is In-Character, if RP tag is off,. person is out-of character or has forgotten the tag.
You do not pull non-RPers into RP.

Slice of life -- usually the everyday life and work of my character, who actually has an entire backstory which does not involve her being the Warrior of Light. My character's lore is actually that she is a daughter to a formerly well-off Lominsan family with several generations of ship captains that owned a trade vessel of their own, but whose fortune took a dive when that was smashed onto the rocks during the Calamity. Her family then invested in the admiral's canonical project to cultivate Eastern La Noscea as farmland, but as the msq story tells us how that whole venture failed, she decided to make the best of things when they were bought out and talked Master Gegeruju into employing her when he established Costa del Sol. She can sometimes be found as one of his attendants, but more often she will be encountered traveling far and wide across the world on a mission to purchase fine teas and other unusual luxuries for the slightly decadent tastes of her employer. She is a bit materialistic, which fits someone who is motivated to restore some of the prosperity for herself and her family that she grew up in before the calamity happened. Like all the others that form Gegeruju's entourage, she is quite loyal to him, not least because she knows he is so easy to pressure into paying her quite generously for her troubles, and eccentric employers like that are rare gems.

I do not ever RP while in a Duty, so I do not need a cover in my backstory for why she'd be there.
