If 1.2.3 is the last patch before 2.0 What do you think of the final version of 1.0?

We are almost ready to transition to 2.0 and I believe that 1.2.3 is the last batch (or do we get more patches for 1.2.3a, b, and c? My question is, taken the game in its 1.2.3 state how doesn't compare toothed mmos? In the end did Square make a good mmo or merely one that we're all sticking with because of 2.0's potential? What is the best thing about 1.2.3? What do you want to see carried over to 2.0? What is the worst thing about 1.2.3? What bugs, annoyances, etc were never fixed?

    Best thing:
    Jobs are awesome

Support is amazing, I have never played a game where I enjoyed being a healer as much as ff xiv.

    Ok:
Grinding in the early levels is fast, even the mid levels slows down, then at the end becomes unbelievably slow.

    Worst thing:
When crafting having to scroll throu your entire inventory instead of being able to type in an item's name and find it quickly, even worse is that craftable items aren't hi lighted, I don't need see my spear when I am looking for thread...

The quest together we stand where you have to sneak past the guards doesn't use the botanist's stealth display, hence even if your character is cloaked by slyphs, there's no visual indicator. I might add I would like to see more stealth quests, but only if the soldiers are a little more alert, and stealth is a little more thought out and well programmed.

If you're not riding a Warrior's coat tails out in Natalan it can take a while.

"In a day" is quite subjective. That's 866,000 exp.

It's been a long time since I've done a battle Leve but that'd take 86 leves giving 10,000 exp a piece.

Sigh... I leveled a conjuror to 41 in a month along with a gladiator to 15, an alchemist to 10, a weaver to 20, a culinarian to somewhere in the teens, and a thaumaturge to 10. In my general experience it takes an hour of full exp party grinding level 45 creeps to get from late 30s to early 40s. Leveling disciple of the land classes is even harder.

If you've crafted the item before you can hit "Recipes" to do the exact same craft again, without having to scroll through your inventory.

Also, you're doing it wrong if it takes a month to hit 41.

I've only been playing for about three weeks so I was never a witness to the chalenges this game faced when initially launched so I can't speak on how this game compares to it's original form. I can, however, say that I have been enjoying the game quite a bit in the time I've played.

Some of the things I enjoy - as the game is now - are:
    1) the pace of battles
    2) quests (in general)

These two aspects are well done IMO.

    Some things I dislike include:
    1) the UI
    2) targeting

On the topic of leveling, I have found that if I want to achieve the highest level availible I will have to dedicate time to grinding. That is just my experience with RPG's as a whole.

Overall I am excited to see what 2.0 will hold.
