I guess quitting frontlines was a bad thing. Good for me. Bad for you. Good for me since I no longer have an excuse to take the game serious. Bad for you since no one has found a way around DRKs.
DRK isn't just the only problem. It's the rework itself. In order to attract more people to try out pvp the devs made combat a lot easier including no drop off damage regarding AOE attacks and the removal of diminishing returns making it a lot easy to secure kills. Guard being useful for frontlines? More like you get to see the clear process of your death from a whole alliance hammering on your shield. Bonus points for getting sandwiched between two alliances and forcing them to play a 5 second game of tug-a-war with you as the prize xD It definitely doesn't help that the rework was made exclusively for Crystal Conflict making certain classes like ASTs more busted in that mode.
I do wish my sibling was still playing pvp. He would have been happy seeing a ton of players using DRK. He would of also been happy to counter the DRK meta. However, seeing that there are no options for duos in Crystal Conflict he eventually stopped playing pvp altogether.
Still, with a bit of support, I'm pretty sure there are certain classes to help deal with DRKs...PLDs, SCHs, RPRs, SGEs heck even DNCs. I do mention the word support since those classes usually needs back up in order for them to be effective (maybe not SGE). However, since most people put the classes that can handle themselves and needs no help at the very top of the list I guess the classes I picked out is meaningless in frontlines since majority only plays for themselves hence the common acceptance of not being with the entire party most of the time, especially DNC since the community thinks of them as a free kill and will laser on sight.
I wonder what's now being cut from pvp in order to satisfy a certain part of the community. Healing is already a good guess. I am curious. If no one was able to stop the dark knight what other wall as a community are we not able to pass? We're certainly not the unstoppable force at the moment.
