Heard the experience in JP is drastically different where the average skill level is much higher.
I do PvP. My main is on JP and my alt is on NA.

The problem is just as bad in JP, if not moreso. I'd say in 75% to 90% of JP matches you're going to have a DRK coordinating Salted Earth pulls through alliance chat and the nature of JP matches is that everyone is going to team up and dump their AoEs when the time comes.

The problem comes from the fact that, out of your defensive abilities, only Guard can stop draw-ins. If the enemy has a WAR with Primal Scream, that can be countered. If you don't have a job that can escape effectively, you're cooked.

The solution is to add Arm's Length as a PvP action and have it on a shorter cooldown than Purify. That way people will have a greater chance of countering multiple draw-in attempts.

Same back then when Pala + cover was basically cheating on Onsai... sure it wasnt unstoppable but IT SUCKED, it sucked ALL THE FUN out of the game...

And after another eve of having the same trouble, the very oblivious teams that stuck together, always within the same composition, im just sick of it.

I still say remove all tanks and healer from pvp - at the very least from large scale modes with no fixed party compositions. They will NEVER get this balanced as is...

Say it to ASTs Macrocosmos 3-4 buff stacks.

Roll in as a Warrior. You see a DRK running in you Blota into Primal Rend them; watch them melt.

Also, DRKs, my dudes. You're ability is clearly for dragging the entire enemy team off the center pad in Danshig. Search your feelings, you know this to be true; embrace the trollage!

But, also-also, why are people expecting to beat a team with a Commander??

PS: I rarely get BH1 because I risk it for the biscuit. So I'm not some 'pro player' here.

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

There are ways to survive a DRK Salted Earth storm, but some of it does rely on having all of your defensive abilities up. Unfortunately the best counter strategy is to ALSO play the same comp against a DRK strike team and just see which murder mob out Salted Earth storms each other. Make your own premade with your friends and just do it back is honestly the best option right now if you want to win more matches. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

It's definitely getting stale though. I'd love to see some other strategies and counters come into play again.

I got chain pulled (atleast felt like that) in PvP, always pulled. I don't like it. Not sure why they target me.

I highly encourage people in this thread to take a look over in the PvP section of the forums where I thoroughly talk down to just about all of you, I think my posts there would cover much of what has been said here, but for good measure and the lazy, I will repeat just a little bit of the things I have previous stated. Nicely, even!

There is absolutely nothing difficult about DRKs. The DRK premade is extremely easy. If you are struggling against the DRK premade, it is simply because you do not pay attention.

    • Stop trying to stun the DRK. The moment he's free, he will pull you all in anyway and you will all still die. Don't do that until ↓
    • KILL THE AST FIRST. The AST is what is killing all of you, NOT the DRK. Disable the AST so when the DRK pulls you, nothing will happen to any of you. You literally get pulled, and then their premade stands there and looks stupid because the AST couldnt do Macrocosmos. After the AST is halted/chased off since they're usually cowards/dead, THEN kill the DRK.
    • AST's can't fight, so dont even pretend "b-b-but they" an AST couldnt defend themselves from a fly. Stop messing around.
    • Next priority is DNC/WHM/SCH/DRG, but first and foremost, always kill the AST. It is the AST that is dropping you all like flies. Sometimes a DRG too, but that sometimes takes a higher BH which takes a bit at first.

Onsal? Fight the people CAPPING the point, NOT the people standing 6 BLOCKS AWAY FROM IT. Again, because some of you are slow. MAKE SURE. That you are fighting the opposite team members that are directly CAPPING the point. You want to stop them from doing that. You actually want to stop them from capping, so that YOU can cap it. Ok? So, fighting across the field...kirito. I'm sorry, but you're not saving asuna that way. Focus on objective.
Seal Rock? Stop field or cave fighting so far from your captured point that someone else runs up and takes it.
Shatter? Don't run into that narrow entrance at the start if the first big ice isnt yours. You will all be slaughtered, and you will deserve it.

There you have it, frontlines is so easy, you can now almost do it in your sleep. If even 2 of you know how to stop a premade (which are all extremely predictable and do the exact same pulls over and over), then all fights are a fair fight and you shouldnt struggle too much. Remember that the BH5 logo beside someone's name means they are the root of your problems. You want to kill them before anybody else. You have 0 excuse why you can't, as BH5 does not give them any more defense than what you have.

People can't even use Guard until they're dying at 10% HP, why would you expect them to use defensives proactively?

The main reason to nerf Drk would be so that weak players can't use it as an excuse any more ("it's not me who's bad, it's just because opponents use Drk")
