Thank you for putting a better word, lol. It's effective on NA because a large portion of the players participating don't do anything beyond spamming "1" on the 1st thing their tab target falls on and haven't figured out when to use Guard. Or they can't CC the DRK because they wasted it on a PLD trolling them a few seconds ago. DRK's draw-in sucks, but what sucks even more is watching half of your team die to a single raw-jump without any Guard-breaks used because they tunnel so hard a mole would blush.
But yeah, at the end of the day it kinda reads: general population either have terrible skill level and/or have mindset issues that works against the nature of the game mode.
Truly, it’s interesting to watch how differently the two communities react being exposed to this meta.
PvE Plunge. Never 4get. :sob:
They take a book from MOBAS for Crowd Control, Diminish and Returns. If you get Crowd Control by the same ability over over again the game should allow get out the Crowd Control faster. They need to add that only on Frontlines, not on Crystal Conflict

Goddamn , for once our job is broken in something Hallelujah
Countering a attack from a player is laughable with the current targeting system (esp on Controller). You simply have no chance to target on counter on time.
Countering with Guard is even worse because the game often just stops reacting to inputs for seconds when you are attacked by multiple players.
tl;dr: Frontline is basically trash content that most players just play for the daily XP boost. Serious play is nearly impossible, trying to get the achievements is basically a game of chance

That isn't my experience, but snapshotting applies to PvP like anything else, so if they attack you prior to its application or prior to its animation or prior to the network exchange between you and the server (ping), then the attacks fully hit you prior to Guard activating. I experience that worse with invulns really, where I can apply Hallowed Ground and still die because things snapshotted before it applied the invuln.
Targeting macros are your friend.
I like to throw the Bind to Target 1 marker on the DRK and then use the macro: /target <bind1>. This lets me target the DRK whenever I want.

Frontlines is just...boring right now.
A big reason is that 70% of matches are just the same. Some discord group comes in with 3-4 DRKs and some Dragoons and they obliterate the other teams.
PvP, especially Frontlines, hasn't been balanced for a while. I mean, I don't really expect them to balance PvP jobs when they can't really balance the PvE jobs either. /shrug
Me too, Erenville, me too

Pvp balance is not a thing. But then again theres no real incentive for high level pvp because of wintrading and blatant hacking. Its a fun mode to turn your brains of.
But this team has no idea how to balance pvp, but kudos to them that they made every job different. We need more of that in pve.

Frontlines was a lot more balanced in its previous iteration with distinc CC immunities, aoe damage options being less potent than single target ones, needing to build up resources through combat. It would be nice to bring some of these things back.
