    Don't healers have as many heal buttons as a DPS has DPS and as many damage buttons (if not way more) as DPS has defense and self sustain?

    What are we asking for exactly? When I heal (I main DPS) I play SGE and am fully engaged when running a dungeon or other content. Also play on controller so I always have to bounce from my back bar (double tab or R1) to my main bar. It feels pretty busy. It would suck to have to do a DPS combo and manage healing.

    Why exactly do I need this many healing buttons, in casual content I can basically get away with just using kardia and kerechole, even in savage half my kit doesn’t get used half the time.

    For the DPS all their DPS buttons gets used functionally on CD, with healers most of the time the vast majority of your kit is being wasted. This is especially bad in say a dungeon, why do I have druachole, taurochole, haima amd soteria as single target heals and physis, kerechole, ixochole, panhaima, holos, pnuema amd philosophia as “AOE heal but perfectly valid as a single target heal” when the tank barely needs me to heal them at all

    Having this many healing buttons would be fine if the game ever actually made me press half of them, instead we have 10% damage buttons and 90% healing buttons but spend 95% of our time doing damage and 5% heLing

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    First of all, as you say- you don't main a healer, so keep that in mind- you likely don't have the same perspective as someone who does. Your "fully engaged" in a dungeon could be a snoozefest for a veteran healer, I don't know what "other content" is, so it's hard to say.

    Secondly, " It would suck to have to do a DPS combo and manage healing" - I have yet to see someone propose a DPS rotation similar to what DPS jobs have for healers. In literally thousands of posts.

    Let's try to apply that to tanks then while we're at it.
    So now Tanks have 3 attack buttons, and 24 mitigation buttons to use. In casual content, only a couple of them are actually necessary though. And even in high end, once your group gets good enough, you stop needing most of them.
    Sound fun? because to me that sounds really boring. Good thing tanks have an actual damage rotation to do in all content so they don't even notice or care how little mitigation is actually needed.
