    AiN works by looking to see if any groups need tanks if there are 100 parties open, 1 needs 1 tank, 0 need dps, and 100 need healers it will still say needing tanks. It is a broken system. It checks tanks, healers, then dps rather then checking all and seeing what is needed most.

    Understandable.... sadly as long SE does not change the encounter design this is our fate: DPS-kit for healer. You can like it or not but the whole game i build around that. Which means forget encounter changes altogether. So we will get nothing and the situation will worsen or a dps-kit.

    It would take a few months but they can redo encounter design. They would have to rewrite quite a bit of code but at this point the healer situation is only going to get worse. My wife who loves to heal more then I do is considering quitting the game, she has given up on healers ever being fixed. Unlike me she is a healer or nothing type of person. I main healing in games but I am willing to fill most of the time.

    It would take a few months? Try a few years. I don't think you understand how their development life cycle works. It's not "rewrite a bit of code', before it even gets to that point, it would have to get justified ($$) and planned before anyone ever touches any code.

    That would stack up against all the other requests that people have- such as instanced housing, the issues with DC travel, job redesign, and others.

    Bull fucking shit. Healer kits aren't that much different then any other MMORPG with fucking healers.

    Now, it doesn't need to be a fully built DPS class attached onto the side, but buffs to their existing attack and adding a few more, with hopefully a way for WHM and SGE to use their Job Gauge to regen MP and get to Afflatus more naturally than overhealing. Basically a version of SCH's Energy Drain, which should also be rather strongly buffed.

    They need to fix the issue with healers lack of healing before they even touch the lack of damage.
