CPU ultilization high

Not sure what happened but it seems ffxiv was running laggy for the past 2 days for me. It was fine earlier.

And when I check my i7 CPU utilization, I saw that my it was hovering at 60-80%%. From past experience, it was under 40%.

Anyone having the same issue? I'm running windowed mode. I tried using full screen and there's no difference.

One thing I noticed that suddenly when I view inventory, ffxiv would show not responding and then a few seconds later it resumed. I have never seen this issue before.. : (

I have had the issue before .....but only when my cpu clocks itself down. Sometime my cpu goes into a low power mode, which downclocks my multiplier on my cpu by 50%, reesulting in 1.6ghz compared to 3.2 and that can cause the game and everything else to come to a halt or just lag. Id suggest downloading cpu-z and look at your cpu activity there and see if this is the case for you. If it is, i suggest going into bios and diaabling all cpu power saving features, and going into your windows control panel and configuring your power options to full power so your cpu doesnt go into idle or power saving mode.

I saw there was a bios setting for CPU which say to use full power for Overclocking. Change it and it's working very well. Now I can see CPU util less then 40%! Thanks a lot Volta!
