    GNB and DRK gap closer is bugged

    I have run a lot of dungeons as all tanks, when I ran as a WAR and PLD using my gap closer on a pack of mobs they all would B-line to me. But when I ran as a DRK and GNB and used their non damage gap closer the mobs did this weird circle. The adds would circle around me before closing the gap creating problems if adds are spread out thin.

    You're not alone. It's really weird, and it would be nice if Square Enix would address it. For now, just remember that gap closing to pull is optional and that Provoke/Unmend still works as it should for pulling dungeon mobs.

    My guess is that since they don't do damage (will just do something like 1k enmity with tank stance as a default but only to mobs having engaged you), it doesn't trigger properly the defensive lines linked between each of the mobs so they only come at you individually because you came into their aggro radius? I could be totally wrong though.

    I still think that it should do a aoe pulls because the animation still is well weird and you can't use the aoe DPS asap making the mobs go well to others

    Yeah, the new gap closers been causing to many problems, it would best to return the old ones. no one didn't say anything about removing the old one. it was certain group of players who complained about gap closers doing damage, and we know who they are, I'm guessing the Devs listen to them.

    if the dev would be listening more healers wouldn't be in this state and tanks would be feeling different from each other other then mitigation

    "No one does say..." " It was certain group ... who..." Ah, yes. Please Devs, only listen to me, not to other players.

    For me, the cap closer works fine. If it troubles you for trash pulls, just run to the mob and AE-Attack them. Issue solved.

    DRK had the Busiest openers, its whole thing was double weaves, Plunge was used for damage. GNB Rough divide was used in between Continuation, in Savage, Ultimate's, and some Alliance raids, the only reason people touch their gap closers majority of the time is because of the damage. GOTO THE BALANCE look at Openers, a movement tool used for damage, now people been saying Utility tools should not have damage.

    I like how you skipped over others saying the new gap closers are not wonky, because they are. WAR, PLD, Plunge and Rough Divide have all mobs B-Line to you, these adds now with DRK and GNB new gap closer will walk out of range then circle back before they come to you.

    Sometimes I wonder if there is BLM players that complain that triplecast can be used for damage too... Or Scholars with ED. Mhh
