Error 2002

Hello,

As of about an hour ago I have been having issues connecting to my main data center(chaos) and have been getting the dreaded error 2002. I have searched for many fixes online, none work including hot spotting, clearing cashes, restarting computer, modem, etc.

please see below info found on a previous thread of the same issue :

What Platform? Steam
Wired connection
No other programs being used when running FFXIV
When the disconnect occurs: Upon connecting to data center prior to selecting world/character. Originally occurred during gameplay
Does this only happen to one character or all characters?: Only on ones within the chaos server which are functionally inaccessible for the time being
All steps taken to resolve the issue: as above
