I kinda had an inkling, but yes, they are juggling multiple projects at once, not just one, multiple. To "Challenge themselves"

"Challenge themselves" then they can stop right now since they utterly fail with Dawntrail. FF16 was good but even though the quality standard has been lowered by a lot with the latest entries, "good" is not enough for a final fantasy title at least for me.
