People come to the forums to complain for a good reason. Square's support is shoddy in most cases, has been since XI. You're right to say that not all experiences are bad ones, although a lot of them are. For every one success story, there are at least a dozen failures. I'm glad that everything worked out for the OP. However, I hope that he never needs to report someone for harassment or contact a GM in regards to getting stuck in the game world.

About a day ago, I got stuck in the game world myself and tried to contact a GM for help as I was unable to fix it by logging out/returning/teleporting. GM sends me an automated response after about twenty minutes telling me they aren't going to help, and then gives me the link to their support page.

Today, somebody had been spamming Ul'dah /shout with racial profanities for a good two hours. After the first hour, I had gone to help somebody with their Dragoon AF body quest. I come back to Ul'dah thirty minutes later, and the guy was still there doing his thing.

I made a thread about this, but of course it got locked by a GM. That seems to be the only time that they actually do something other than nothing. They won't help you if you get stuck and they won't do anything about people shouting racial profanities, but make a thread on the forums about how they do nothing, and you can be sure they'll lock it. Ironic, isn't it?
