    SE Best Support ever.

    Hi all,im a returning player from last year when FF was still in it's F2P phase,and took a break from this game waiting for the "Big" patch thats nearly to come now.So i decided to go have a look at FF again and see how it's going.

    So i decided to login to my account,i bought 20E Crysta on it,but then i suddenly found i couldnt activate my account at all and i had no char on this account.so i contacted support,got a quick mail saying i might have logged in the wrong account and added crysta to the wrong account,as they could see i had atleast 2 accounts, and i needed to provide info to show im the real owner of both accounts and email adresses.But Since i totally forgot what email adress or username i used on my Real account i was unable to retrieve it myself,So i needed to make contact with chat supoort and show my id etc.

    I did this and after they had verified im the real owner of both accounts,Agent Emilie from chatsupport quickly transfered everything from the wrong account to my real acc and i was soon able to login my Real account,and she would also make sure i get the crysta transfered from the wrong account to my real account.I got a mail yesterday already where i needed to show the amount of crysta bought etc..i read it a bit late so i just returned the email today.

    Anyway..as boring as this read may be for you,i have played many mmos where the support was Horrible to say the least ( Tera im looking at you ) i just really would like to show my gratitude to SE support,and let them know they imo have the best and friendliest support.. Just a big thank you to all support for fixing my problem this quick.

    People come to forums to complain. Just because a few people post about bad experiences doesn't mean they're all bad.

    I think you misread my post. I didn't say SE's customer service was bad. I said it was nice to hear someone say something good about it.

    People come to the forums to complain for a good reason. Square's support is shoddy in most cases, has been since XI. You're right to say that not all experiences are bad ones, although a lot of them are. For every one success story, there are at least a dozen failures. I'm glad that everything worked out for the OP. However, I hope that he never needs to report someone for harassment or contact a GM in regards to getting stuck in the game world.

    About a day ago, I got stuck in the game world myself and tried to contact a GM for help as I was unable to fix it by logging out/returning/teleporting. GM sends me an automated response after about twenty minutes telling me they aren't going to help, and then gives me the link to their support page.

    Today, somebody had been spamming Ul'dah /shout with racial profanities for a good two hours. After the first hour, I had gone to help somebody with their Dragoon AF body quest. I come back to Ul'dah thirty minutes later, and the guy was still there doing his thing.

    I made a thread about this, but of course it got locked by a GM. That seems to be the only time that they actually do something other than nothing. They won't help you if you get stuck and they won't do anything about people shouting racial profanities, but make a thread on the forums about how they do nothing, and you can be sure they'll lock it. Ironic, isn't it?

    There's actually a thread about someone who was complaining about being thrown in GM jail for that exact same thing.

    Wherein lies the problem though since people come on just to bitch then that gives people the impression that customer support is bad. It's why I always try to stand up for the customer support agents since it what I do as well.

    And the only problem I've ever had with se support was the other day when I was trying to fax in my gift receipt for Kh 3ds and it wasn't going through... though that wasn't SE's fault it was the fax machine I was using cause it went through fine with another one. But yeah they've been really good at answering and helping... Plus with GM's those a different from warranty support/customer support agents you call about billing an what not... so you can't lump those together with the people that you contact on the phone.

    to the original op. I always like hearing about good experiences with customer service. I hope you expressed your gratitude to the supervisor... they might have some type of kudoh's thing or something like that to congratulate the agent. ^_^

    And yeah. People tend to use forums to let out negativity.
    I have been in contact with SE support a few times already and they were all pleasent and quick with dealing with my problems
