Same problem, new request

The question becomes what part of SE's team would handle the creation of such a system and what other content projects are they committed to. This would be a purely technical implementation and that's not a side of game development that players tend to seek out information on. They're more interested in the design side.

I just explained why I think this is impacting Public because it requires a slice of Dev's time and resources.
FF14 is a theme park and each category can only get limited attention.
Do you think this is an issue seriously need to be address?
Housing feature pretty much only get tune up once per expansion cycle let me remind you. (Excluding new furniture, i am talking about Housing feature such as space, lottery system, etc)

The devs are not the public
FFXIV is a game, not a theme park.
It's an issue that would have multiple benefits for some if it was to be addressed. I have zero expectation on it being addressed
Housing got a lot more than a tune up last expansion, so it's very possible for the devs to put in more than one housing update.

That is up to the developers.

The developers that would work on adding the suggestion as a feature would most likely be the same ones that added the ability to hide players under certain circumstances. It's unlikely they have anything to do if a decision to add more wards is made other than install existing code once others set up the additional server hardware. It's hard to say how much work is involved with increasing item limits but that is already work in progress so wouldn't conflict with a new suggestion where the work won't be done until already scheduled/in progress projects are completed. Perhaps they had a hand in coding the lottery but that work is long since completed.

There is no harm in the suggestion being made. It's not like SE is going to do it if they feel what potential benefit there might be is outweighed by other concerns.

I can agree with this when I spent several hours decorating my yards only where most people would be done with them in a matter of minutes. I love others seeing how nice my garden is and how highly decorated my homes are, for those interested seeing my homes, they are in my signature.

"Theme Park" is an MMO term. You either have a Themepark, or a Sandbox. These terms have existed since before 2.0.

Hiding glamours is a more valid idea. Now you can see the real class fantasy of this PF group's mismatched Tome and Savage gear instead of a furry convention with the other tank glammed like Ryne, and a BLM in a legacy PvP heavy armor set. (This is a joke, remove the glamour restrictions already)

So a few hundred players choose to hide glamours and housing decorations from their personal view while tens of thousands of other players can still see them.

Are you genuinely so devoid of attention from others that forcing those few hundred other players from seeing your work matters that much to you? Especially when you will have no idea of whether or not they have those things hidden on their end?

This wouldn't stop anyone's ability to express themselves or the ability of others to see that self expression if they are interested.

It's not turning off anyone's decoration. The decoration is still there for the owner and others to see. The only players affected are those that would choose to enable the feature.

Strange how people are pushing so hard against adding an option that wouldn't affect them unless they chose to use it. You would have no idea whether another player is even using it.

Are you this vocal about the players already using mods that change your appearance to them?

Are you this vocal about how players can now use the blacklist to completely erase another player from their screen?

Would you object this much to the idea if it had come from someone other than the OP, or would you simply say "I don't think it's a good idea" and leave it at that?

To me, it would just be an option for those who want it like we have so many other options in the game. I don't see myself using it. Someone else choosing to use it wouldn't affect me. The OP is not the sole player that has made the suggestion. Other players have made the same suggestion in the past.

Is tryings to accuse Mao of something, Jojoya? Just because Mao nots comment in General Discussion abouts blacklists erasing peoples does nots mean Mao nots uneasy abouts that either. Just means Mao nots able jump into every thread abouts this, that and other thing. For record, Mao does NOT like blacklists erasings people either. If someone so bad as to be abusive, proper thing to be done is for SE to investigate and ban if person reporteds to be abusive actually is abusive. Is more work for SE buts then protectings peoples freedoms always requires work. Blacklist should just prevent offensive person from harassing victim.
