Same problem, new request

Out of all of the players who know how to modify client-side graphics (Which is a lot more than you think it is), literally no-one has thought "Hey, I don't like the look of this housing item. I'm going to make a quick little mod for myself to remove it and then share that with other players."

There are two to remove SFX from loud housing items. That's it. People really don't care about what other players are doing.
If they did, there would be a mod to remove the Gingerbread House from the game.

Mods are against ToS, and I'm not going to support that. The right thing to do is bring the issue forward for Square Enix to see it, offer a suggestion that either fixes it or provides the option for it to be ignored or toggled on/off, get a tally of how many are in favor of it being addressed and how many are not in favor of it, and if there's enough support, then implement it. And there's others who've already either said they are not opposed to the idea or are in full favor of it being added as an option, which means there are those who do care. Is it a minor annoyance for most? Possibly. That's really going to be subjective and vary from player to player. There's no rush either since it's optional gameplay.

I will have to say you are quite petty for continuing to keep the lighthouse blocked from view for 10 months now. In hindsight, you can keep it that way if you want. I don't care cause your days of doing so are numbered. What I do care about is Square Enix seeing an opportunity to fix this problem that exists for players like myself.

Fact 1: You can turn off the combat animations of other players (excluding PvP). This is great for raiding.
Fact 2: I'm not the only player that wishes they could turn off the housing decor of other players.
Opinion: I wouldn't be surprised if the number of players that are part of fact 2 make up a large majority of players that own a house in FFXIV.
Suggestion: Make an option for player housing that works just like the option for combat animations in fact 1, allowing you to see only housing items that are placed for your house/FC house.

It's a 100% doable thing. Can't be that hard to add since they recently just did something a bit more difficult with the players crowding around quest NPCs. This is a quality of life thing that would help many and hurt none. I know most would probably be like, "just make housing be instanced instead at that point." Unfortunately, Square Enix has shown no sign of being on board with making housing instanced, so this goes more along the lines of their design direction going forward with player housing.

They did move, but they created a dummy FC before doing so and retook the plot with that FC just so that they can keep the view of the lighthouse blocked from my lamppost. It doesn't matter because I've transferred my character and will be getting an upgrade to a large in due time.

That FC is annoyed and still decides to leave a dummy FC even though they have moved.

If SE chooses to add the option to hide outdoor furnishings, I wouldn't argue against it. It could vastly improve load times when going into housing.

I'm not certain it would have solved your prior problem since the skins of other houses still would have blocked your view. I doubt SE would go as far as to hide the estate walls since that would defeat the purpose of using a ward system (feeling like your house is part of a neighborhood).

I just hope you don't end up in the same ward with my alt's FC's house on Cuchulainn. You're a crappy neighbor.

Also doesn't mean others aren't sharing the same view. As Jojoya's statement point out, there's not really an argument against this being added as an option, yet. If you have an argument against it, feel free to say so, but I think it's a good suggestion, and like I said, it goes along with the design direction they are taking with quality of life features.

You are requesting the game devs to submit their time and effort to address an issue due to your personal drama
On top of this drama can be fully avoid if you learn the word "respect" when you approach someone for a request.
