Going Under Water?

So while I have yet to fully finish the DT MSQ, I am leveling my gatherers. Doing my daily turn-ins, many are located in the DT areas. Sometimes they are located in areas I have opened already. Come today I see one where the mining node is located under water (accessible from the one athernet I have attuned to). I can swim out to the spot of for the life of me I can not seem to dive down.

If I can swim in the water, why can't I dive down?

Not all water is deep enough to accommodate diving.

If the node you're seeing is in the 3rd DT zone, you need to swim farther into the lake before you can dive. That was slightly frustrating to me at first but I'd already gotten used to the problem from other locations with the same issue.

Well, there are mining nodes below, so must be deep enough. And I did go all around the lake to see if I could dive, but no go.

Nodes could be below an overhang. Just because something is directly below you doesn't mean you can directly move to it. Sometimes you have to go around something.

I can't think of any DT nodes that are underwater and below an overhang. That one node I could think of was right on the "cliff" that creates the border between the shallow and deep water so I had to swim out slightly past the node then turn around and swim a couple of steps back to it (being careful that I didn't push up to the surface). It's annoying placement but the OP should still be able to get to it.

Going underwater can be a bit tricky if you cannot fly yet in that zone since you need to press a key instead of simply pointing your camera downward to dive. I believe the default is Ctrl+Spacebar if using the keyboard.
