Every brain cell I have in my head is telling me "Don't go for it" after I just said earlier this conversation was genuinely baffling to me.

But fuck it...I'll bite and take the potential trashing from both sides.

What exactly are we complaining about? Is it the shirt itself? The tweet Sena made alongside the shirt? Both at the same time? Like what is our end-goal here? Is there actual big controversy with this entire thing, or is this "controversy" where the internet finds scraps to bitch and complain about and see how many jump in and go "TRUE" and "REAL" alongside them?

I myself have criticized Sena's voice acting of Wuk Lamat as well as her gaslighty tweets on a few things. While I personally agree she doesn't deserve to get death threats: I definitely don't think being trans and whatnot makes you immune to being labeled a bad person. Everyone, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, and social class, has the potential to be a really shitty person....But really? A T-Shirt? 7.1 isn't even here yet and we've already reached this point? If we replaced "Sacrifice Transphobes to Satan" on the shirt with "Sacrifice Homophobes to Satan" would this level of back and forth still be going? Hell, if we theoretically changed it to something more extreme, like "Sacrifice Pedophiles to Satan", would this "conversation" everyone is having even exist, or would it still be the same levels of back and forth for both the "defense" and "offense"?

I ain't here to start any fights, you all certainly seem to got that covered with each other. But I'll be blunt: my personal initial feelings reading this all multiple times is that this entire conversation is fucking stupid and is just going in a giant circle going absolutely nowhere. But I would certainly love to understand both sides of this situation.

I am sure some of you engaging with this conversation can definitely explain to me and others who come across this, in a calm and unbiased manner hopefully, what exactly the "concern" is overall. So please help me, and possibly some others who potentially stumble upon this thread while scratching their heads at what is transpiring, understand the end-goal here with this specific conversation. Because some seeing almost 8 pages currently of people screaming at one another due to a T-shirt, with many of these replies some of you are throwing at one another boiling down to "No u" with only tiny bits of actual criticism here and there, might have a bit of a difficult time taking this conversation seriously and potentially giving their own opinions on the matter.

I thought the end goal was:
1. Enough discussion for SE to notice the controversy
2. Get the VA to stop posting offensive material, either due to realising it's not appropriate or due to SE/her agent telling her as much.

But then again both of these happened a while back and yet the thread continues. My only guess is boredom? *shrug*

One thing I noticed about sindriiisgaming is that it is best to just ignore him on the boards. You should do the same, interacting with him is useless.

Honestly I think that can apply to most of those I've argued with in the past couple days. Tried understanding their grievance with a silly harmless edgy shirt, but the whataboutism, "it goes both ways" and vaguely implying "maybe be tolerant to the intolerant?" is enough to tell me they're definitely not posting in good faith and are instead clearly trolling me. My bad on taking the bait, though it is interesting to see just how far they'd take things just to justify attacking the VA.

True but at the same time keeping someone unprofessional on payroll can be a bit um... well lets just say if I said the gamer word I would be ban right on spot. Yet some who represents your company spews hate u keep them on payroll look dubious at least, and spineless at most.

i would once again like to bring attention to this comment, calling for the persecution of your enemies is not justice. transphobes are people too and should be approached with tolerance and understanding. calling for there deaths is nothing short of insanity. and any who call for it are arguably just as bad as they are

and do you think intolerance to one side but blind tolerance to the other is okay? what sena is doing, and has been doing. Is quite literally what you accuse me of. stirring up drama serval times, inciting hate to her enemies and alienating the community from itself. this is NOT a person S.E should continue to affiliate with. the culture war is not something FFXIV players should be expected to be held accountable for. more so concerning, is the idea that SE might be going down the disney route and taking a politically correct stance. Having seen what happens to games when they involve themselves with these companies like Sweet baby Inc. i am very concerned about the lack of action regarding this VA. Even more so concerning is that its blatently obvious now the majority of the community do not like her or her tweets or what she says in them. if everyone is so against her, perhaps we have a point yoship?
