I was replying to once specific person who quoted me and said "what about Susan?" It's kind of annoying when people ask me about a thing I wasn't talking about and don't know anything about. Don't ask me "what about Susan?" I don't know! You tell me!

She liked some sus tweets and got mobbed over it? Yeah, that sounds like stupid twitter BS alright. What are you trying to get me to admit here, that Sena's behavior on Twitter is also bad? I already think that.

I wasn't trying to get you to admit anything. The person brought up Susan because of the double standards that applied to both her and Sena. Obviously, you don't care about it, but relevant to the topic at hand. You could've just asked to be informed instead of angrily writing it off as a "whataboutism".

Looks like FF14 has now become a haven for transphobia.

I'm going to be blunt: I don't remotely care in the slightest bit that Sena is a trans woman. Ultimately, to me personally, her gender has nothing to do with her overall performance as Wuk Lamat. There have been PLENTY of male people who have voiced female characters and vice versa in animated shows, movies, and games, so gender really is not as huge a factor to me personally as a result. For me it ultimately comes down to "How well does the voice X person did fit the character in Y role?": And Sena just did not fit Wuk Lamat to me personally. It's like with Chris Pratt in the Mario Movie: Mario was just...Chris Pratt's regular voice with a forced, fake accent. Wuk Lamat feels the same to me: it sound just like Sena's normal voice, but with a forced, fake accent. Many of the other main cast members like Koana, Zoraal Ja, Bakool Ja Ja, and Gulool Ja Ja had some kind of Latino/Latina/Hispanic backgrounds behind them, so I found it a bit out of place that a character as massively important to the MSQ as Wuk Lamat was voiced by a White American Female faking an accent, and not voiced by someone who also had a Latino/Latina/Hispanic background behind them. Sena isn't an awful voice actress to me, but she just wasn't a good fit for Wuk Lamat I felt.

I also have not once mis-gendered Sena when mentioning her in any of my posts. Obviously I can only speak for myself and not for any other players as they have their own feelings and opinions about it all, but it would be petty and pathetic of me to mis-gender Sena simply because I personally don't like Wuk Lamat and how she was voiced/written, or think that Sena is gaslighting a bit too much with some of her tweets. But on a place like Twitter, if I were to say even attempt to say remotely ANYTHING negative about Sena's performance, her tweets, or about Wuk Lamat the character as a whole like I have just now, even if it's just a small fraction of what I said: I would be most like be immediately labeled transphobic, misogynistic, or a bigot in someway because to the zealot defenders: the only reason I must be talking bad about how Sena's performance was / Wuk Lamat's character as a whole is because I MUST be one of those things in their eyes.

I don't enjoy getting a false label forced onto me, or lumped into specific categories of "gamers", simply because I gave my feedback and genuine criticisms about things I didn't like that you potentially did like.

At least I’ve provided sources—unlike you, who’s done nothing but complain from the start. It’s starting to feel like you’re arguing in bad faith or being deliberately averse. I failed to find anything noting that Distant Worlds would be disassociating from Susan or anything of the sort. However, you can look through "Past Events" in the link provided and see that she hasn't performed for Distant Worlds since September of last year. A month before the rage for her Twitter likes caused all the drama.

This is a fair observation, though the odds are she just hasn't been hired (probably depends on which songs they plan on playing, too). Since I didn't go to any of these Distant World concerts (for very obvious reasons, being they're all not in Australia), I dunno what songs were played, but seeing no mention of Eyes on Me, Distant Worlds, Answers and Dragonsong is probably why.

Honestly its within your best interest to not engage in any conversation with the guy. Trust me, looking through his posting habits and patterns on this thread and you can tell he is not willing to have a meaningful discussion. You brought up provided sources that you found ON YOUR OWN TIME (which you definitely didn't have to do), and tried to do your due diligence. I'm just afraid it was wasted time and effort on the guy.

Her last concert with Distant Worlds was on the 6th of October. On the 30th of October was when someone on Twitter said about people should look at Susan's twitter likes and replies, explained in this article here with relevant tweets. Of the harassment campaign e.t.c.

You can check yourself to see future and previous tour dates of Distant World that Susan is no longer affiliated with the concert, there have been 19 concerts since Susan's last showing where she has been absent and you can compare against how many she was present before her last concert of 6th October 2023.
