And we have every right to defend ourselves. I don't like it, when people are calling me a transphobe, bigot or a racist, just because I critique a persons performance. Or I don't agree with certain points of view, from that same person. She ruined a good thing we paid a lot of money for. So as a customer it is my right to complain, without being called names, just because this person insists on taking our critique personal.

Defend yourself from what? Being called a transphobic? Look if you behave a certain way and feel called out, then maybe, might be the part of the problem.
Giving the benefit of the doubt because I have seen it, maybe you said something like I don't like Wuk or her performance and someone called you a transphobe maybe then you have a right to defend yourself.

And people will also never tire of arguing against people who pretend that everyone else is only doing what they are doing. Does your internal dialogue go like this? "I didn't personally attack this person, so nobody has ever attacked this person. There is no room in my mind for the possibility that people more extreme than me who actually do these things do exist, so I will act as if when other people are saying that some people are making such attacks, must be talking about ME."

Do you believe that most people are genuinely attacking Sena or a small minority that pretty much every single online personality has to deal with? Because of course there's going to be those that do. The internet is the internet.

However, if your going to claim that someone is being attacked, it better be on a larger scale than a few trolls or fools on Twitter. It better be genuine harassment. If you're not correct in your claim, it will be called out.

People telling her "A Man cannot voice Wuk" "You took jobs from CIS women" Are attacks. These attacks against her are constant and while there has been proper criticism towards her acting in certain scenes, the amount of hate and vitriol overshadows it.

Reading 200 pages of this subject alone is crazy. Anyway, are they really? Because calling her a "he" and slinging around phrases like "rainbow mafia" doesn't seem to be in good faith to me.

I do agree that people that do the above do not argument in good faith. Still, actually reading the threads, people doing the above (or similar) are noticeably in the minority. Most criticism I have seen was factual and not derogatory, or otherwise demeaning to Sena Bryer as a person, and it definitely does not help you or the LGBTQ Community to not separate the actual criticism from the assholes and lumping them all together.

Sena uses their identity as a shield against and everyone knows it, but does not going along with the pronoun thing negate any arguments they make against the person themselves? It really doesn't. Not every agrees with the gender ideology thing and I'm probably going to have this as my only response to that in this thread because I've already gone down that road. It's not on topic and is a worthless fight to make against people who don't seem to understand that we simply don't agree.

No one should attack, Sena. However, she needs to learn to conduct herself more professionally. She's an absolute loose cannon on Twitter and is quickly becoming an absolute PR nightmare for Square Enix.

Doesn't seem much different than Sena saying that transgender women characters shouldn't be voiced by biological females or that "CIS women" are stealing jobs from transgender women for doing so. Which I'm pretty certain they're saying that to Sena specifically as a jab at their double standards, not because of some perceived transphobia.

I feel quite strongly about this topic, so I've been following the discussion. The people maliciously misgendering her are absolutely the minority.

The majority of people, especially in the beginning, had absolutely valid and factual critiques, mostly aimed at a subpar vocal performance that detracted from an already subpar product. At this point, however, more and more people have started using a "tit for tat" rhetoric to illustrate the absolute hypocrisy of Sena and her defenders' double standards - especially when she literally insults us, the FF14 community, who pay for this product. This doesn't make her critics transphobes btw.

Sena is very much giving me s5 Untucked Serena Chacha vibes (if you know, you know) and I don't want someone with that sort of behaviour to represent me.
