Crystaline conflict is really really fun when done in groups, can we please?

Crystalline conflict is a well-balanced, rather fun PvP activity in this game, the problem with it is that it's FORCED solo-only play in the way that processes your series milestones.

So a little while ago at the logical European data center, some friends and I could finally scrounge together about 20 people to try out a group-based queue for Crystalline conflict, where we used discord channels to group up once we were inside the instance.

It was the most fun player-vs-player game we had in a long while.
After a while, we also did a small tournament using custom matches.

I here-humbly request to add 2 duties to the PVP duty finder:
Crystalline conflict (Group Ranked match) and Crystalline conflict (group Casual match) where you can queue with a group of 1 to 5 people to be matched with other groups of 1 to 5 people in 2 teams of 5 people to compete in crystalline conflict.

Honestly, the community-organized games will always be better than any kind of queued ones. On the NA servers we've got custom games every Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and it's really nice seeing familiar faces and hanging out.

I know EU's been looking for a tournament series for a while, maybe you should start that up!

We've had ranked team queues and there's a good reason they're gone, and that's coming from someone who partook in it a lot. The community isn't big enough for it and the queue very quickly dies off as the best teams dominate the queue.

The best way to enjoy teams is to join in on the communities that host pug or team scrims and organized events. The community has, and always will, do better than SquareEnix when it comes to competitive events.

EDIT: I will say, that casual queue could definitely do with being able to queue up with one other person.

One thing they could do, and I know it's not the same as a full scrim/premade, but it's dual queue for casual mode with a friend. And making sure the other team also has a duo to balance things out.

They tried that and didn't work at all
It was called PvP Party or something but never works
You simply do not have that many people will duo queue and pretty much it is just premade stomping especially under Crystal Conflict Environment

Saying it could work for casual queue misses the fact that newcomers will queue for casual and they will literally quit the game mode immediately if they keep being stomped by premades. There's a reason people say FL sucks even though it's an incredibly fun game mode: newcomers don't really have anywhere to properly get the hang of how PVP plays differently.

Even queue syncing can ruin the fun if there's even just two people on a team working together. Valence's idea of making sure there is a duo on each team could work, but honestly it'd probably be better if they put a system in place to PREVENT people from being on the same time more than one or two matches in a row.

They tried this during Feast around season 4 or 5 I think.
They even had a ladder for it
If it didn't work for Feast, I highly doubt it would works for the Crystal Conflict.

It simply not going to work, for example, DRK + DRG with voip against a group of random not on voip. (Worst version: Full Premade DRG/DNC/Reaper/DRK/SCH)
Not matter how you sugar coating it, voip is 3rd party tool and you gained significant advantage
Team queue will not be an option
Even you let it happen, it is 100% a dead mode after 3 days

...I was speaking about duos. And with such a system requiring having another duo in the opposite team so that it stays balanced between premade duos. If your point is that some duos are going to be a lot more skilled than others because of skill difference or voip, then it's no different from current casual where the skill gaps can be huge between players, from full brand new players to top rankers in there.

Feast had a ladder for full team only, not duos. I also don't think Feast is remotely comparable at all either because Feast queues were completely dead and the mode had never been popular (and only ranked was somewhat active during new season peak with like 15 players online at the same time). In comparison casual CC pops at almost all times of the day so there is potential in trying duos out imo (but not full team unless there is a mode specific for it where two full teams can face each other, but as you said this mode would probably be dead all the time except when people sync queue, which can essentially be done with custom games).

I don't think it's even a challenge to sync up queues atm with a wait time of about 2mins at primetime EU - plus it's fun to roll the dice to see who landed in which group and laugh at those that got left out of the duty pop lol - you see the same few people pretty much every match lately
