Crazy how being bad in pvp is a bannable offense, but I still have to deal with these 35 minute single pulling expert roulette tanks and if I say anything about it, I'm the bad guy.
Jokes aside, the ban system in this game is dumb as hell. The fact that we're all standing around guessing about what op did or didn't do just speaks volumes. GMs need to just tell people what they did. This is stupid.

Im not even going to bother responding to half of these comments, because they’re a bunch of unsolicited holier than thou opinion based on nothing factual. I suggest some of you reread the OP and get your thoughts in order before you comment…I was very clear on the facts apparently it’s easier to make stuff up. If you have a chip on your shoulder from past experiences you can deflect that somewhere else, I’ve no interested in baited toxic comments looking to start meaningless discussion. If you aren’t gonna be HELPFUL, don’t bother responding… I’m just gonna look over whatever nonsensical words you managed to put together and move on.

If its that easy for you to move on, maybe you should move on from engaging in Lethargic gameplay in Frontlines. You show zero concern that your gameplay *Might* actually be the problem, and by extension that shows you have no consideration for your fellow players. Why overturn a justified penalty? Take the suspension and reconsider queuing into frontlines. They'll just hit you with another suspension.

GM don't ban people for bad play that willy nilly lol, you have to be really really bad like this very consistently (which is a challenge in and of itself if you actually try your best at the game), and of course they wont be precise about why and how u got banned, if they do you will just try to skirt around the rules or better at hiding your unwanted behavior. If you dont want to be banned again, how about contribute more? If you think you cannot play better on your own, go hit up some pvp veterans/community and have them coach you a bit before you go into a public match.

If it's waiting for other nodes to spawn, youd have to fight at some point.

And if it was shatter, no points in 12 mins would be literally just running around doing nothing since the nodes get you points

Well based on what I've read it looks like it was probably lethargic gameplay but I still stand by Square not elaborating *further* when asked is annoying.

But keeping timestamps like that is just crazy, if they would show up I would have so many skull emojis right here, you wild for that one, props to the insane memory you have though I guess

Overall though this thread reminds me of why I enjoyed being a mentor in competitive games because the average player is too busy seething and malding to try and mentor anyone properly, the idea all competitive gamer are elitists is definitely blown out of proportion but your average comp gamer is definitely not suited to saying anything that would make you excited to try and get better at pvp lmaooo y'all twisted up

So what im reading is OP is in frontlines and well before any nodes spawn, or alert they’re gonna spawn, they just hang out near some node and not engaging with the battles during the downtimes? And to get no points in 12min I’m guessing they’re not also not getting targeted to defend the node they’re at, meaning they’re so far away from where all the other teams are they can easily run away to node camp the next spot battle free?

I mean if you’re only chasing nodes and just “jiggling your controller” enough to not be considered AFK in PVP why even PVP? Doesn’t that get boring to just do that?

Pretty sure it’s not just for being bad. Being bad and trying is one thing, not caring and throwing matches while other people are trying to get wins for achievements is another. Unfortunately some people don’t give a damn and are just there for the daily XP while hoping for the match to end asap. People are getting tired of that behaviour and are reporting now.

No, the game automatically kicks you out if you’re AFK for two minutes.

Just because a player can press their jump key every 1 minute and 59 seconds to avoid being kicked for AFK doesn't mean they're not AFK.

Obviously I’m playing the match. Sometimes, I’ll camp nodes until they spawn and snipe, just run around and do that.

Sounds like an AFK player style (ie lethargic) in a mode that is labeled Player VS Player.

I’ve won matches before this way.

Sounds more like your team won the match by pushing back or holding off enemy teams so you can "afk" at a node.

I’m not always chasing kills.

Most people who "chase kills" are also pushing for objectives, or trying to reduce the enemy team's score.

I’m not the best at PvP and that stresses me out. Everyone has a different PlayStyle.

Why are you playing a mode that induces stress?

My point is there is not a requirement to play any specific way or to earn a minimum amount of participation points. This is casual PvP, not competitive.

Just because Frontlines and Unranked CC is "casual" PvP doesn't mean you don't have to put in any effort. If you were participating in PvP with your team, then you wouldn't have to be concerned about any "minimum amount of participation points."

I’ve been playing the same way for ten years and it’s only just become an issue. If they are going to make all PvP competitive and force players to play in a certain way, then that should be made clear.

People are getting fed up with exp leechers in Frontlines and are reporting players more and more now. I would have to guess that people noticed you constantly standing around to "secure" nodes and ended the match with negligible damage done (in a match for 12 min without earning any points). Sounds like you had 0 damage done to players which is an easy player report.

My point is this isn’t proper customer service and I have tried through several means to speak to someone that has actual information to help, in alignment with their policies and ToS not just assumptions and opinions from players that aren’t directly involved in the process. It’s not ok to constantly punish someone for something they are not aware of and then not tell them what they’re doing wrong so that it doesn’t happen again. Thats some backwards thinking.

You were reprimanded for Lethargic Behavior and was told by a GM on two separate occasions. You have the option of changing your play style in PvP or can stop queuing for the mode altogether.

Nobody is getting banned in PvP for being bad. Having almost zero damage in PvP will likely get you looked at by a GM if reported. It is also likely they can see previous report histories, so if you're constantly doing zero damage, then you'll get a warning first, not a ban.

The OP was told by the GM what they did. "in a match for 12 min without earning any points". The match the OP was reported in lasted 12 minutes while the OP did 0 damage. Meaning they were effectively AFKing for the match.
