Square-Enix being taken off the Sweet Baby Inc website is pretty funny, if nothing else.

Imagine being SBI and seeing all the negative discussion around Dawntrail and actively being like "oh HELL no, we weren't responsible for that mess." XD


Frankly I doubt it was a consulting company that did this. While they are the latest boogeyman in some gamer circles for "ruining" certain games, they are not a new phenomenon and have been around for decades.

Companies are very capable of making stupid decisions that cause last-minute chaos and rewrites on their own without any outside consultant doing it for them.

Yeah, but the newest addition of consulting firms seem to think that twitter is a good place for unbiased opinions (lmoa) and drag them into games.

As for SE,
I agree with you. I believe that this is their own doing. I don't know if this is still the case, but plenty of Japanese people still believe that gaming is still done by kids. And it looks like we got someone with that mindset meddling with the story of DT.
We have a recipe for a great story, but it seems like someone came in and decided to make a different, half-baked dish from the prepared ingredients.
