Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Please try the following:
    - Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable). It appears that your GPU [NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060] was last updated on [8/13/2024], at this time a newer version should be available.

    - Please try switching between Fullscreen and Borderless Windowed Mode.
    - Please try adjusting/lowering the resolution.
    - Please try running the game as an administrator.
    - Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
    - Please be sure that Final Fantasy XIV is installed to the C: Drive.
    - Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
    - Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
    - Double check to make sure PC is not over heating and remove any overclocks on GPU/CPU

Thank you once again for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!

    1. The last time I updated my GPU drivers was on the 27th. I even used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Windows Safe Mode to uninstall my GPU drivers and perform a clean install afterwards. I don't know why it says my drivers were last updated on the 13th tho.

However, I did as you suggested. I downloaded and installed the latest GPU drivers for the RTX 3060 (version: 560.94, dated 08/20/2024) once again from the NVIDIA website. I also downloaded and installed the latest audio drivers for my motherboard (NZXT N7 B550).

    2. About switching between Fullscreen and Borderless Windowed Mode, I modified the option: "ScreenMode" in the "FFXIV.cfg" file located in "C:\Users\Reyes\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" folder to change between these options since I can't access the system configuration in-game. I successfully managed to switch between Fullscreen, Borderless, and Windowed Modes, but it didn't fix the issue.

I also modified the resolution via the same "FFXIV.cfg" file and tried the following:
    - 1280x720 (default)
    - 1920x1080
    - 2560x1440

The resolution changes were reflected in the window on boot-up, but none fixed the issue. After that, I deleted the file and started the game again to restore it to its default configuration.

    3. I ran ffxiv as administrator and disabled every program to run at startup. Also, there are no active overlays: I disabled both nvidia and steam overlays.

    4. The game is installed on the C: drive. I have also tried installing it on my secondary D: drive, but that didn't work.

    5. I just checked for updates, and Windows 10 is fully updated.

    6. PC is not overheating. I used HWiNFO to check my PC temps: CPU is at 45°C while idle, and I haven't performed any overclocking on either my CPU or GPU. I also dont experience overheating in any game (E.g. Monster hunter world in 1440p mid/high settings with CPU at 55°C and GPU at 60°C), nor did I ever experienced it while playing ffxiv.

tl;dr I tried all options in the fix list and none of them worked
