Possibly Tural survived? and Descendants Ironworks who finished The CT augmentation using Omega, teleportation happened 200 years after the Black Rose event.

Graha going back in time, reversed a rejoining of the a Shard, this may had major consequences splitting timelines? and now there are 2? Since this is first time ever reversal of a shard, since the splitting of them in sundering.

What if there was always 2 Timelines? When Sundering happened, one of Astral one of Umbral? One where 9th rejoined? One where 12th rejoined? Different polarity of Calamity of Lightning.

story element from Final Fantasy XIII-2. The Time Gates are connected via the Historia Crux and by stepping into a Time Gate, one can travel through time to a specific location. In order to activate a Time Gate, one must possess the necessary artefact.

What if the Cup was the Artifact they needed, or the Crown? Artifacts used to Open 7th Gate?

During Trial 2 did we happen to be transported to Historia Crux of FFXIV.

Etro appears as the goddess of death and chaos. She is said to reside in the world where the souls of the dead find their rest—Valhalla.

From FF13-2 In ancient times there was a mighty spell that could summon meteorites and cast them upon the heads of foes. The meteorites had crystalline cores, grown abnormally large in another spacetime. The attributes of the meteorite would differ depending on the nature of its core crystal. Some meteorites even held within them rare, otherworldly crystals knows as 'artefacts,' which in special circumstances might be used to open portals to other places—and other times.

There is Meteorite that fallen in forest of Mamook, Living Tree, possibly had similar properties?

G'raha's time travel only needs to have created a split in a single timeline from the time he intervened onwards, not a complete separation reaching all the way back to the dawn of time.

I would say the events of Endwalker prove that the two timelines still share a past, because the whole history of the world is tangled up in the events connected to the Elpis time loop, and that may only work if our visit happens in the shared past of both timelines. Certainly it doesn't work for the timeline to be spontaneously different in its details once split off.

One thing that makes me wonder more about split timeline is because of Trial 2, Zarool transforms into being with "ultimate power" a being using souls of the dead Valhalla, there is a being called Etro who has power used in FFXIII-2 to traverse Time Gates & FF Versus XIII she was that Goddess of Chaos/Death and Picture of this Goddess reminds me of Zarool Ja's Tranformation, and Etro is linked to Time Gates in the Mythology.

If Etro was to be added, could of been the direct result of the 8th Calamity as well in order to Balance the world and fates, as she witnessed the Chaos and Death in Original Timeline caused by Black Rose, she needed Zarool Ja to combine the timelines again to balance the world.

Zarool didn't need complete the Succession to open the Gate, he just needed the keys to open the Gate which was Sharalayn(also reminds me of FFXIII boss) Sareel Ja simply handed Cup over after searching vault to activate it to go through possible "Time Gate" above Everkeep, It's not a Void gate as Yhstola mentioned, to meet Sphene.

Tural may have known about Black Rose happening and took precautions to protect themselves from contact? Galool Ja Ja may have used the Gate still?

The effects of the Eighth Calamity are basically a dice roll on anyone's survival, or from a "writers directing the narrative" standpoint could lead to any outcome you want.

If the writers want Sphene to end up with the key, it could be looted from the treasure vault in the chaos – perhaps Sareel Ja takes the opportunity to enact his schemes more directly without the fiddlings of the contest getting in the way, with or without Zoraal Ja coming along as well.

If they want it to remain unfound, have the people who know about the gate die in the calamity, and the key will remain just an oddity in the royal vault and the gate likely undiscovered. Or perhaps it again gets looted and is now at large (to turn up as a plot device sometime later in this timeline's story).
