I changed to Japanese language for my first alt and I have to say that I can actually tolerate Wuk Lamat a bit more than I could with the English language. I think the majority of that is that the Japanese VA can actually show emotion, as opposed to sounding a step up from text-to-speech AI. But I very much dislike I had to do this because I've played ~9 years with English language and I miss hearing those VAs. I know it's not going to happen but I seriously hope they recast Wuk Lamat for later patches. I know it would likely be a HUGE poo show, but.... I can hope.

The characters sound good in JP. I dislike all the english voice actors entirely. I don't like their accent either of them sounding like their noises are stuffy.

Eh it's just typical Yoshida PR language.
He absolutely knows what the general critisicm is but he picks his answers carefully to give them a positive spin.
Every PR spokesman would do that. His "not being surprised" sound to me that even he was not as happy with the story as usual.

Nevertheless it's interesting. Respect to the interviewer for actually asking good questions for a change instead of "are you a honey bee fan uwu?"
He basically admits that the MSQ was not up to par. General consens is that the sidequests are quite good this time around and that would explain it.
It really gives some vibes of not knowing how to handle a story though and prioritizing the wrong things in writing and he basically admits it.

The thing about Wuk Lamat. I don't know. People didn't have a problem with her being wimpy in the beginning but with her having almost no character growth and her complete overshadowing everyone.
He didn't even really answer the question with Krile and Erenville (and I absolutely believe he understood that question).
I'm sure he absolutely knows what the problem is (and before the typical ones come here again, no it is not just western criticism or the VA or people rushing the story) but let's see what the patches bring.
All I want is them giving my WoL more focus again. Even the rising event gave me more to do.
He more or less says that they handled her wrong and her "showcasing to the players" and I more or less agree.

The feedback from us to them is written. I wait what they do now and give them till 7.3 probably (just because the ones before that are already written).
If they keep to that writing style of "forcing an npc in the spotlight 24/7" then so be it. Then I know where they are and can lay this game to rest without being too sad about it.

it is not about confident.. Zero wasn't confident and act awkward with people,

the issue is the character it self.. it doesn't have the capability to be a ruler of herself rather than Tural nation..
