Where is the quality control? Rising edition

So this year's Rising quests are about planning the fireworks display, asking Lominsian citizens what they'd like to see, etc. During a cutscenes from the first quest in the chain, I was unfortunate enough for a fireworks display to start in-game, you know, before I've even organised it in the quest progression...

I'm not sure if these are timed or whatever, but how am I supposed to feel immersed or take the quest seriously? I'm the one supposed to be putting the fireworks display together and I haven't yet. But it's happening.

Couldn't they have turned off the fireworks for people who've not done the quests yet? The technology is there - the skies on the First are different for people depending on their ShB quest progression. Or had this quest (the preparations) take place outside Limsa, where fireworks wouldn't be seen? Or have the cutscenes pre-rendered, so random world events wouldn't automatically take me out of the make-belief that my character is doing something?

I know, I know, this is a tiny, tiny issue in the grand scheme of things, but to me it yet again demonstrates that no one is properly managing the game anymore. No one thinks of these simple things that can go wrong. No one is seemingly play testing in different conditions... And I think that's very disappointing in an already disappointing expansion.

Those fireworks are for the entire festival as background festival noise.

The fireworks we help with are the great finale with the rising logo.

The rising event was great. My WoL was actually acknowledged to exist and even had dialogue choices.
It’s a piece of art compared to the DT MSQ.

In a couple months you're going to see a bunch of pumpkin decorations around Limsa. They'll appear before you complete the All Saints Wake quest. The pumpkins will not be a glitch. They're just decorations that slightly change how the cities look. That's what ingame events do.

    Nailed it tbh.
If OP mentioned his grievances to the devs, Yoshida himself would probably be surprised anyone was even paying attention to event cutscenes. The story op described (there's a major event happening and we have to go around recruiting people for some element of it) is the same in all of these seasonal events and it's a wonder anyone even considers them events imo. They could just save themselves the effort and send out mogmail with the reward attached and there'd be like 3 people upset about it and they probably wouldn't even be able to articulate why.

For people playing longer than 1 expansion who enjoy this style of events: why? What part of walking from 1 npc to another for 11 minutes and then maybe doing a level 15 FATE for a niche reward you might not even use is particularly enjoyable to you? Everyone I know just does it so they can have a limited item before it ends up in the mogstation for 3 dollars in a year. Literal definition of fomo, fear of missing out.

I feel like almost all of the cutscenes where someone visited my island played during torrential rain while they talked about how nice the weather was.

You're not putting it together, the Yellowjackets are. You're helping them to gather information that influences the display design.

The game also has some real issues when it comes to the passage of time. No one will ever be able to convince me that the player character experience from ARR to Endwalker happened in the space of a single year.
