Next tank should be something that none of the other tanks can do. Maybe like a Magitek tank class. None of Its main attacks and skills would be shared by any of the other tanks.

Technically, no tanks share anything with other tanks except role actions.
However, let's be less literal and say you don't want a tank that has the same feeling kit, or similar actions. So let's break it down.
If we ignore the role actions as they are going to be there whether you like it or not, we need to build up a basic kit. They will need a ranged attack, ideally on the GCD. No one wants a tank that only has Provoke for a ranged enmity puller. You need some sort of AoE. At minimum I would say 2 actions, otherwise you are just spamming one button and that is no fun. You will also need some form of basic single target combo or pseudo combo, so we are looking at a minimum of 3 actions there. We obviously need a tank stance, that should go without saying.
Mitigation wise, they are going to need a high mitigation....mitigation, along the lines of Guardian and Damnation, just so that they don't fall behind. They will need a short cooldown mitigation, again, just so that they don't fall behind and we mustn't forget about the 90 second light mitigation they all have. As a PLD, it wasn't good having one less mitigation before we got Bulwark back in EW, so we don't want to repeat that mistake. It is probably also a fair thing to say we need a way to mitigate another ally, being the one tank that cannot do that puts you at a disadvantage, which also means we should get a raidwide mitigation tool as well. We also cannot forget about the invuln, imagine being the only tank without one?
For damage, we need to also consider the burst window, we know sustained DPS doesn't work in the current format, so we will need some sort of buff or access to strong attacks in a window, so that we can keep up. If we go for a minimum a buff and an attack, that should be a bare minimum.
Last, but not least, let's not forget about the all important gap closer.
Once you actually get even a basic outline of want you need a tank to have you notice a pattern. So really, what it comes down to is what you actually mean by 'none of its main attacks and skills would be shared by any of the other tanks'.
As little as I think a next pet class would have a future - MMORPGs remove their pet classes or neuter them as they age, not the other way around, and they all do this - I would love a pet tank job where the pet is the actual tank and the player character is the controller/handler/commander.
So say I got this Magitek Tank - literally. It has a ton of HP. I don't. I'm like a phys ranged, that's important later. It also inherits my stats, so I can equip gear to improve it. But, on its own, it just attacks a target causing extra emnity.
Abilities that I have that command the pet to do something:
* Stance switches. 3 main tank stances. One attacks a single target and can be used to force a specific target, using a main gun. One replaces the normal single target AA with a cleaving one that deals lower damage, for groups, maybe a circular flamethrower or so. The third one automatically goes after and AoE attacks targets not attacking the pet, ideally some mortar or rocket barrage launcher.
* Go here command.
* Disenagege command.
* Various abilities that the pet then executes, naturally due to the indirectness with a delay. These include most defensive CDs, provoke, some attacks, and maybe a self-repair or two that self-stun the pet while they work.
* I myself have most direct attacks (ranged!) and also CC moves. I guess I'm using a rifle or so while mostly being a mechanic?
* Some utility moves like knockback immunity are separate and exist twice for me and the pet.
* The pet is not targetted by a boss for abilities, except for attacks aiming at the current target (i.e.: tankbusters). I am the 8th party member, not my pet.
Oooh, Tank Mechanic would be the job. I work on the tank, in between I attack with a rifle or a huge spanner, the tank does the autoattacks and absorbs the damage!
