    Honestly, this is how it should always be for games that change you monthly. There's no reason to fork over a bunch of money up front.

    Summary: FFXIV ARR (2.0) is rumored to only cost $39.99

    Amazon typically doesn't use placeholder prices, they tend to wait till they get a MSRP from the manufacturer/production before it's ever listed by them. If it was placeholder it would had been the usual $60 USD like most PS3 games.

    Doesn't mean they haven't limped out a incorrect price or release date at times. Yes even at prices outside the normal $60.00 range.

    Not saying it doesn't have merit it's just most likely a placeholder.
