If you're towards the west cost of the US, it likely has to do with connection to the NTT node in San Jose (I think it is) that has been going pear-shaped.
There's an ongoing thread in the Technical Issue Forum regarding this issue.
It's not just you OP, i've been going through similar issues.
I'm a New York, Spectrum Internet User if that's any indicator of where the issue may manifest.
EDIT:
As a bit of a workaround, I've heard some people have had success with using a VPN to temporarily fix the issue.
If it happens again OP, it might be worth considering.

When this happened with ATT in the US South, I circumvented the issue with a VPN. I used SurfShark. I've also had Nord but I didn't like it.
Hope this gets resolved soon..

I know a few people who are Spectrum users experiencing the same thing.
